On March 14th, 2023, I saw a tweet from a small account that I knew would go viral. To summarize, the individual shared a prompt they entered into ChatGPT that asked the LLM to assume the identity of "HustleGPT" and help him turn $100 into as much money as possible in as little time as possible. I wasn't convinced that this was a silver bullet or that it would even work, but I immediately recognized this as a way that anyone could use new AI technology to accomplish their own goals. Over the next two weeks I started aggregating anyone who has participating in the "HustleGPT Challenge" into a crude table while sharing tips on how to build a business, create a target audience, and build content with ChatGPT.
I've been building digital and physical side hustles for the last 5 years and would have loved to have had ChatGPT as my rubber duck/co-founder. I am naturally an introvert but I still love discussing my ideas with other builders. The HustleGPT challenge made me realize that having "someone" to bounce ideas off of just became a whole lot easier.
