Created by a Nurse Educator. Designed for Future Nurses.
I created Clinical Judgment Lab to help nursing students move beyond memorization and learn how to actually think through patient care. As a doctoral-prepared registered nurse and academic nurse educator, I’ve spent years teaching nursing students in the classroom, clinical setting, and simulation environment. Again and again, I’ve seen students know the content but struggle with the next step: What is abnormal? What is dangerous? What should happen first? What keeps the patient safe? That gap between knowing the information and knowing what to do with it inspired Clinical Judgment Lab. My resources are designed to help students recognize important cues, identify priorities, and connect nursing knowledge to safe clinical decisions. I bring 18 years of nursing experience to the resources I create, along with extensive experience in undergraduate and graduate nursing education, clinical instruction, simulation, curriculum development, assessment, and competency-based learning. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice and am credentialed as a Certified Nurse Educator and Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator. Every resource in Clinical Judgment Lab is created with one goal: helping nursing students develop the clinical judgment they need to think like nurses.
