Me llamo Allen Schmidt y soy carpintero de toda la vida. Empecé esta aventura inspirado por mis propias aventuras familiares y la simple alegría de compartir momentos. Como padre, siempre he creído que los mejores recuerdos se crean cuando dejamos las pantallas, nos reunimos y hacemos algo divertido y significativo juntos. De ahí surgió la idea de DadsPuzzles: de la pasión por crear algo especial que pudiera convertir el tiempo familiar cotidiano en recuerdos imborrables.

La historia de DadsPuzzles se basa en el amor por la artesanía y en un profundo aprecio por el tiempo de calidad, ya sea reconstruyéndolos solo o con familiares y amigos. Tras buscar por todas partes y no encontrar nada parecido a mis rompecabezas, decidí entrar en el mercado y empezar a venderlos. Primero en mercados y ferias de artesanía donde hay mucha interacción e interés, y ahora los vendo en línea a todo el mundo.

Comencé a hacer rompecabezas como pasatiempo hace muchos años y a regalarlos a familiares y amigos, experimentando con diferentes diseños, tipos de madera, colores y patrones. Quería ofrecer algo más que un simple rompecabezas: quería crear una experiencia única, una forma de que las familias conectaran, rieran y celebraran las historias de los demás. Cada rompecabezas está hecho a mano en mi taller, cortado con cuidado, lijado varias veces y ensamblado para asegurar que cada pieza encaje a la perfección y sea una experiencia placentera. Me enorgullece seleccionar los mejores materiales y prestar atención a cada detalle, para que cada rompecabezas no sea solo un juguete, sino un recuerdo que se pueda atesorar durante años.

En DadsPuzzles, mi misión es simple: llevar alegría a los hogares y fomentar momentos de unión que perduren en el tiempo. Creo que los rompecabezas son más que un simple pasatiempo; son una forma de crear tradiciones, celebrar momentos importantes y compartir risas. Y recuerda que no hay pilas que cambiar, ni recargar, ni pantallas, ni una llave mágica que recordar... solo es divertido intentar superar tu propio tiempo para reconstruir cada vez más rápido. Ideal para manos pequeñas y grandes. Más piezas y más cortes equivalen a mayor complejidad en el proceso de reconstrucción.

My name is Allen Schmidt and I am a lifelong woodworker. I started this journey inspired by my own family adventures and the simple joy of shared moments. As a dad, I’ve always believed that the best memories are made when we put away our screens, gather around, and do something fun and meaningful together. That’s where the idea for DadsPuzzles was born — from a passion to create something special that could turn everyday family time into lasting memories.

The story behind DadsPuzzles is rooted in a love for craftsmanship and a deep appreciation for quality time...whether rebuilding alone or with family and friends. After searching far and wide, and not finding anything quite like my puzzles, I decided to enter the market and start selling them. First at markets and craft shows where there is great interaction and interest, to now selling online to the world.

I began making puzzles as a hobby many years and giving to family and friends, experimenting with different designs, different wood types, different colors and patterns. I wanted to offer something more than just a puzzle — I wanted to create a unique experience, a way for families to connect, laugh, and celebrate each other’s stories. Each puzzle is handmade in my workshop by me, carefully cut, sanded several times and assembled to ensure every piece fits perfectly and feels satisfying to put together. I take pride in selecting the best materials and paying attention to every detail, so that each puzzle isn’t just a toy but a keepsake that can be cherished for years to come.

At DadsPuzzles, my mission is simple — to bring joy into family homes and to foster moments of togetherness that stand the test of time. I believe that puzzles are more than just a pastime; they’re a way to create traditions, celebrate milestones, and share laughter. I have given them away over the years and are displayed front and center on executive office desks to interact with while chatting. People will pick them up, rub the pieces and engage in trying to reassemble all while discussing the important topics of the day.

And remember that there are never any batteries to replace, no recharging, no screens, no magic key to remember... just fun in trying to beat your own time to rebuild faster and faster. Great for small hands and large. More pieces and more cuts equals more complexity in the rebuild process.
