Sharing my passion for words & care using Spelling to Communicate
Hola amigos! Mi nombre es Danny, y soy un autista que no habla en mis 30 años. Durante más de treinta años, no tuve medios confiables de comunicación, viviendo una vida marginada con poca esperanza. Pero ahora, puedo expresar con fluidez mis ricos pensamientos usando Ortografía para comunicarme (S2C), ¡y mi mundo realmente ha florecido!
Soy un ávido poeta y escritor, y uso mis palabras para defenderme, expresarme y capturar los sentimientos y experiencias de quienes me rodean. Gran parte de mi trabajo se centra en la justicia autista y de discapacidad, pero no solo me define eso. También soy un observador entusiasta y aprecio mucho en este mundo, y mi trabajo también refleja eso.
¡Esta es la primera vez que vendo mi propio trabajo así! Hi Friends! My name is Danny, and I am a nonspeaking autistic in my 30s. For over thirty years, I had no reliable means of communication, living a marginalized life with little hope. But now, I can fluently express my rich thoughts using Spelling to Communicate (S2C), and my world has truly blossomed!
I am an avid poet and writer, and I use my words for advocacy, self-expression, and capturing the feelings and experiences of those around me. Much of my work is focused on autistic and disability justice, but I am not only defined by that. I am also a keen observer and appreciate so much in this world, and my work reflects that, too.
This is my first time selling my own work like this! I am supported by my sister Tara, who brings my design ideas to life and handles the logistics.
