Art runs in the family - my dad was a commercial artist for Western Auto. My aunt was an art professor at the University of Kansas and a well-known artist in Mexico. I began painting early in life, going to art clinics with my dad and painting for family and for fun. I have always enjoyed working with my hands and making wood projects. I took a break from painting and woodworking to pursue a career in law enforcement and raise a family. After 28 years, I retired and took up painting and woodworking again.

I believe there is an inner artist in everyone, and I enjoy sharing my passion for art with others; whether its teaching paint classes or building projects others will use for years to come. I truly believe I was given this talent to share with others and hope my art and woodworking projects provide joy and inspiration.
