Nick hace las ollas de leña y las enciende en un pequeño horno Anagama en su propiedad. Estas formas son sueltas, simples y diseñadas para aprovechar la marca de la llama en el horno. Durante una cocción de leña, la ceniza del fuego se asienta en las ollas de la cámara y finalmente se funde en un esmalte natural y direccional. Nick makes the wood fired pots and fires them in a small Anagama kiln on their property. These forms are loose, simple, and designed to harness the mark of the flame in the kiln. During a wood firing, ash from the fire settles on the pots in the chamber and eventually melts into a natural, directional glaze. The final products seem to suggest age and use-each with its own unique energy and spirit. The interior of these pots are lined with a functional Shino glaze.
