Empecé con esto como un hobby tras enamorarme de los ópalos etíopes y australianos. Selecciono y compro cada piedra en bruto a mano. Me lleva entre 3 y 4 horas convertir cada piedra en un cabujón para joyería. Prefiero el aspecto natural de los ópalos, con cabujones que no son perfectos. Pueden tener matriz, grietas o inclusiones, y no estar pulidos a la perfección. Me gusta mostrar su belleza natural y evitar que parezcan tan perfectos que resulten falsos. I originally started this as a hobby after falling in love with Ethiopian and Australian opals. I hand pick and buy each rough stone individually. It takes approximately 3-4 hours with each rock to turn it into Cabachon for jewelry. I prefer the look of natural opals by having not perfect cabs. They may have some matrix, may have cracks or inclusions in them, and may not be perfectly polished. I like to show their natural beauty and not make them look like they are so perfect they’re fake.
