Comecei minha loja no início dos anos 70 com meus primórdios no negócio de roupas vintage onde compraríamos fardos de roupas vintage, as limparíamos e as venderíamos. Tecidos como cortinas velhas e pano de casca eram uma fonte de criatividade.
Fizemos coletes chapéus revisar vestidos com inserções e enfeites apliques. Havia notas de roupas que podiam ser compradas. Por exemplo, poderíamos por 2º em jeans e vestidos, o que significava que eram danos ou manchados e nós os alteraríamos em outros itens. Saias de jaquetas curtas, etc.
O negócio vintage foi bastante emocionante durante esses tempos porque grande parte das roupas da Era da Tela de Prata de Nova York e Hollywood ainda estavam disponíveis e em ótimas condições. Agora, essas roupas são raras e difíceis de encontrar em um estado vestível.
Hoje em dia existem muitas fontes para reproduções para roupas antigas e vintage.
Esta é minha experiência. Ao longo dos anos colecionei tecidos vintage e padrões dos quais tenho disponível para meus clientes Etsy para roupas feitas sob medida, tenho uma extensa coleção de padrões multi tamanhos também. I started my shop in the early 70's with my beginnings in the vintage clothing business where we would purchase bales of vintage garments, clean them and sell them. Fabrics such as old draperies and bark cloth was a source of creativity.
We made vests hats overhaul dresses with inserts and appliqued embellishments. There were grades of clothing that could be purchased. For example we could by 2nds in jeans and dresses, which meant they were damages or stained and we would alter them into other items. Short jackets skirts etc.
The vintage business was quite exciting during those times because so much of the New York and Hollywood Silver Screen Era garments were still available and in great condition. Now such clothing is rare and difficult to find in a wearable state.
Nowadays there are many sources for reproductions for antique and vintage garments.
This is my expertise. I have over the years collected vintage fabrics and patterns of which I have available to my Etsy customers for custom made garments, I have an extensive collection of multi sized patterns too.
