An Approach to Native Gardening Rooted in Curiosity & Balance
Ganderling sprouted from a love of native plants, quiet forests, and the small wildlife that depend on them. What began as seed collecting and restoring our own landscape gradually grew into a shop focused on ethically sourced native seeds and habitat-friendly gardening.
Drawn to the beauty and resilience of native plants — and the role they play in supporting pollinators, birds, and healthy ecosystems — a deeper connection to the natural world began to take root. Observing seasonal changes, listening for birdsong through the day and the chorus of toads and frogs at night, softened by the haunting trill of the screech owl, revealed how deeply grounding and restorative a connection to nature can be.
The work follows the rhythm of the seasons. The song of the Carolina Wren announces the changing season and the search for spring ephemerals emerging from the seedbank begins. Summer is spent observing blooms and pollinator activity, autumn is dedicated to seed collecting and cleaning, and winter becomes a quieter season to preparing for the year ahead.
Seeds are cleaned, stored, and packaged carefully in small batches. I do my best to provide honest growing information, realistic expectations, and species that are well suited for both manicured gardens and habitat-focused spaces.
My hope is to offer a native gardening experience that feels approachable, rewarding, and rooted in curiosity rather than perfection. Whether you’re restoring a landscape or planting your very first native pollinator bed, I’m grateful you’re here.
Thank you for supporting small-scale seed stewardship, native ecosystems, and natural landscapes where people and wildlife can find balance together.

Shipping Options
Ganderling offers two shipping options for seed orders:
(1) Free Stamped Mail:
A low-cost, untracked shipping option for eligible seed orders. Orders sent by stamped mail do not include tracking or delivery confirmation. Because this service is untracked, I cannot provide shipment updates or verify the exact date of delivery.
(2) USPS Ground Advantage:
A tracked shipping option with USPS tracking and delivery confirmation. This option is recommended for customers who would like to be able to follow their package during transit.
Processing Time
Orders are packaged and shipped within [1-2] business days after purchase. Processing times may be longer during periods of high order volume or seasonal demand.
Delivery
Once an order has been handed to USPS, delivery times are outside of Ganderling's control. Weather, holidays, postal delays, and other circumstances may occasionally cause delays.
Please ensure your shipping address is correct before placing your order. Ganderling is not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
Untracked Stamped Mail
Please note that stamped mail does not include tracking. If an untracked order does not arrive, please contact me and I will work with you to determine the best resolution.
Damaged or Missing Orders
If your order arrives damaged, contains an incorrect item, or appears to be missing something, please contact me as soon as possible.
For damaged packages, please keep the packaging and provide photos so I can help determine what happened during transit.
Ganderling Return & Exchange Policy
Returns & Exchanges:
I want you to be happy with your Ganderling order! If there is a problem with your order, please contact me within 7 days of delivery and I’ll do my best to make it right.
Damaged, Incorrect, or Missing Items:
If your order arrives damaged, contains the wrong item, or an item is missing, please contact me as soon as possible with a description and photos of the item and packaging. Depending on the situation, I may offer a replacement or refund. For damaged shipments, please keep the original packaging until the issue has been resolved, as photos may be helpful when determining what happened during shipping.
Seed Orders:
Because seeds are a natural product, I cannot guarantee germination. Germination can be affected by storage conditions, temperature, moisture, stratification, planting depth, soil conditions, and many other factors outside my control. If you believe there is a problem with your seed order itself—such as a damaged packet, incorrect variety, or substantially incorrect quantity—please contact me and I will be happy to work with you toward a resolution.
Cancellations:
If you need to cancel an order, please contact me within (1) hour of placing your order. I will do my best to accommodate cancellations before the order has shipped.
Returns:
Because of the nature of seeds and live plants, I generally do not accept returns simply because an item is no longer wanted or because growing results differ from expectations. If you have a concern about your order, however, please reach out. I would much rather have the opportunity to help than leave you unhappy with your purchase.
