The Path of Least Resistance...Vintage!
Aunque fue hace décadas.. Todavía recuerdo claramente, mi primer vestido vintage...
Su estampado de paisley marrón y verde me hizo sentir tan adulta.
Era un vestido de camisa batiste de algodón sin mangas de principios de los años 60, con pliegues de caja alrededor de la falda, un escote cuadrado y un amplio cinturón de tela propia.... También tenía la etiqueta mr. Eddie.
Solo estaba en 5º grado pero esa prenda me quedaba perfectamente. como si estuviera hecho solo para mí....... Creo que me enamoré de la ROPA vintage en ese momento y de la 'Etiqueta Mr. Eddie.....
Así que se podría decir, que la inspiración para mi tienda tuvo su comienzo en la escuela primaria.... Porque ese fue el comienzo de mi aprecio por las hermosas prendas y accesorios vintage ... y el comienzo mismo de mi adicción al HUNT.
Por supuesto, en el largo camino hacia la apertura de la tienda, he construido muchas colecciones personales, desde bolsos de caja de la década de 1960 hasta coloridos chales de Guatemala y decoración del hogar de mediados de siglo.
Pero tal vez lo mejor de todo es que he recopilado algunas amistades encantadoras y preciadas con otros adictos vintage como yo ...
He adquirido una pasión especial por los estampados textiles vintage únicos de la era de mediados de siglo...
las impresiones atómicas de los años 1940 y 50, las impresiones de rosas silenciadas (1950-60), la geométrica óptica audaz y mod (1960-70) y, por supuesto, los neones brillantes de la era de 1970 ...
Mi colección crece a diario...
Mis diversas colecciones celebran el esfuerzo y la creatividad de la fina
mano de obra del pasado.... modistas, fabricantes de muebles, joyeros, diseñadores, artistas y otros artesanos, muchos con nombres y rostros que tal vez nunca conozcamos definitivamente....
Después de todos esos años con fiebre vintage, se ha convertido en una segunda naturaleza para mí querer poseer ESA pieza hermosa y única de las cosas vintage de otra persona en venta ...
Oh, tengo poca fuerza de voluntad, así que sigo el Camino de la Menor Resistencia ... Cómpralo-Llévatelo a casa-¡Pásalo....!

Though it was decades ago.. I still remember clearly, my very first vintage dress...
It's brown and green paisley print made me feel so grownup..
It was a sleeveless cotton batiste shirtwaist dress from the early 60s, with box pleats all around the skirt, a square neckline and a wide self fabric belt....It also had the, Mr. Eddie label.
I was only in 5th grade but that garment fit me perfectly.. as if it were made only for me.......I think that I fell in love with vintage CLOTHES at that point and with the 'Mr. Eddie Label.....
So one could say, that the inspiration for my shop had it's start in grade school.... For that was the beginning of my appreciation for beautiful vintage garments and accessories...and the very start of my addiction to the HUNT.
Of course, on the long way round to actually opening shop, I've built many personal collections, from 1960's box purses to colorful shawls from Guatemala and mid-century home decor..
But maybe best of all, I have collected some lovely and treasured friendships with other vintage addicts like myself...
I've acquired a special passion for unique vintage textile prints of the mid century era...
the atomic prints of the 1940's and 50's, the muted rose prints ( 1950-60's), the bold, mod optic geometric (1960's -70's) and of course the bright neons of the 1970's era...
My collection grows daily...
My various collections celebrate the efforts and creativity of the fine
workmanship of the past....dressmakers, furniture makers, jewel smiths, designers, artists and other craftsmen, many with names and faces that we may never definitively know....
After all those years with vintage fever, it has become second nature for me to want to own THAT beautiful and unique piece of someone else's vintage-stuff-for-sale.....
Oh, I have little will-power, so, I follow the Path of Least Resistance.....Buy it-Take it home-Pass it on....!
