Beautiful book and excellent service

This book is mind blowing. The detail and setup if this book makes it a valuable learning tool. If you are interested in making gowns of this era and those using similar construction, this will get you there. The language is clear, comfortable and concise. There's helpful hints by way of notes, diagrams and tables. Also, clear explanations from the author make obvious why the choices made for deciphering the dress were made and how that influenced the way this book is setup. There's a great many historical clothing items that would be amazing to have broken down in such a way and it lends the reader a chance to understand how to be more informed when considering how they might tackle any reproduction peice from a sight inspection. Congratulations to Michelle on putting together one of the finest resources I've come across.

This cap is as lovely on the inside as it is on the outside. The skill involved is amazing and the delicate frill around the edge just passes the tips of my ears. I was very happy with all of my items I ordered and the excellent customer service given. I will shop here again.

The embroidery is fabulous on the coif and forehead cloth and the coif just sits on the top of my head. The fine ribbon which came with the coif for me to thread through, is a little on the short side but I am a sure I will be able to find a substitute. The ties attached to the forehead cloth are also rather short. But they are beautiful and all the caps I ordered look like the real thing.

The cap sits perfectly on my head and the stitching is very neat. It will take a bit of practise to clip the cap onto my head but I am sure I will get the hang of it.

The mob cap is beautifully made and the fabric is gorgeous. The head band on the cap is a little tight but I am sure it will give with wear. All the caps came beautifully wrapped with care instructions on sweet little cards. Overall I am thrilled.

Lovely quality linen. The perfect choice for my kerchiefs.
