Me encanta poder impartir orden y complejidad a los ingredientes simples de la naturaleza, y poder trabajar con fibra desde el animal hasta los productos terminados. Poder pasar de una masa desordenada de lana sucia y maloliente a un artículo terminado bellamente teñido y tejido me da un gran orgullo. Luego, ver que ese artículo se usa con amor me hace volver una y otra vez.

Aprendí a tejer de mi abuela, y lentamente me abrí camino hacia atrás hasta hilar e hilar, y luego más atrás para trabajar con fibra cruda. Me gusta poder hacer ropa / accesorios para productores con la fibra de sus propios animales; entonces la oveja / alpaca que has cuidado te está ayudando a mantenerte caliente.

I love being able to impart order and complexity to simple ingredients from nature, and being able to work with fiber from straight off the animal to finished products. Being able to go from a jumbled mass of dirty smelly wool to beatifully dyed and knit finished item gives me great pride. Then to see that item being lovingly used keeps me coming back time and again.

I learned to knit from my grandmother, and slowly worked my way backwards to spinning and dying yarns, then farther back to working with raw fiber. I enjoy being able to make clothing/accessories for producers out of the fiber from their own animals; then the sheep/alpaca that you've cared for is helping to keep you warm.
