Cuando tenía 30 años, vivía una vida activa al aire libre en el agua, bajo el sol del sur de Florida. El mensaje de proteger tu piel del sol se había difundido, pero honestamente puedo decir que no fui tan diligente como debería haber sido para proteger la mía. La buena genética y la juventud mantuvieron la apariencia de mi piel saludable hasta los 40 años cuando los signos del daño solar comenzaron a mostrarse y progresar exponencialmente. Me mudé a California en 2007 e instantáneamente noté cómo el cambio de clima dificultaba mantener mi piel hidratada. Había probado muchas variedades de lociones de farmacia que nunca parecían funcionar bien o durar mucho. Me derroché en una variedad de cremas corporales boutique, pero rápidamente me di cuenta de que esta opción no era sostenible debido al costo. Encontrar una crema corporal con la fragancia adecuada o sin ninguna fragancia también fue desalentador. Mi viaje en California me llevó a estudiar botánicos curativos, aceites esenciales y sus beneficios para la piel. Después de años de investigación, decidí intentar hacer mezclas de mi propio producto. Regalé muestras a mis amigos y familiares durante 2 años antes de convertir esta línea de productos en un negocio.
Mi objetivo es proporcionar accesibilidad a productos curativos e hidratantes de calidad que sean personalizables y sostenibles con un presupuesto ajustado. También quiero transmitir el mensaje de que el cuidado de la piel se compone esencialmente de tres conceptos fundamentales; 1. Limpieza 2. Hidratación y 3. Protección. When I was in my 30s, I lived an active outdoor life on the water, in the South Florida Sun. The message of protecting your skin from the sun had been out, but I can honestly say I was not as diligent as I should have been in protecting mine. Good genetics and youth kept my skin's appearance healthy until the age of 40 when the signs of sun damage began to show and progress exponentially. I moved to California in 2007 and instantly noticed how the change in climate made it difficult to keep my skin moisturized. I had tried many varieties of drugstore lotions that never seemed to work well or last long. I splurged on a variety of boutique body butters but quickly realized that this option was not sustainable because of the cost. Finding a body butter with the right fragrance or no fragrance at all was discouraging as well. My journey in California took me in the direction of studying healing botanicals, essential oils, and their benefits on the skin. After years of research, I decided to try my hand at making blends of my own product. I gifted samples to my friends and family for 2 years before turning this product line into a business.
My goal is to provide accessibility to quality healing and moisturizing products that are customizable and sustainable on a budget. I also want to deliver the message that skincare is essentially composed of three fundamental concepts; 1. Cleansing 2. Moisturizing and 3. Protecting. I am a supporter and promote skincancer.org
