Desde que me lembro, sou fascinada pelos mundos da moda, beleza e arte. Quando criança, eu passava horas estilizando minhas Barbies e desenhando bonecas de papel "fashion" e, no início da adolescência, costurava roupas e experimentava design. Esse amor pela criatividade me levou a me formar em Estilismo de Moda e a uma carreira como maquiadora profissional, antes de passar a última década ensinando Maquiagem para Mídia, orientando aspirantes a artistas em suas próprias jornadas.
Mas em algum momento do caminho, minha própria centelha criativa começou a desaparecer, e percebi que estava ajudando outros a perseguir seus sonhos enquanto silenciosamente colocava os meus em espera.
Então eu fiz uma mudança.
A ilustração de moda sempre me tocou profundamente. Dei um salto e me matriculei em um mestrado em Ilustração na Universidade de Falmouth, conciliando os estudos, o ensino em tempo integral e a maternidade. Em 2024, me formei e tomei a decisão ousada de deixar o ensino para trás e me dedicar à minha paixão em tempo integral. Essa decisão deu vida à The Illustrated Edit.

Abrir minha loja no Etsy reacendeu minha criatividade e remodelou minha vida. Me deu liberdade: estar presente com meus dois filhos, criar com propósito e construir uma carreira alinhada com quem eu realmente sou. Chega de rotinas rígidas, apenas um trabalho alegre e significativo que me conecta com outras pessoas que compartilham o amor por moda e beleza.

ABOUT ANNA
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been captivated by the worlds of fashion, beauty, and art. As a child, I’d spend hours styling my Barbies and drawing 'fashion' paper dolls, and by my early teens, I was sewing outfits and experimenting with design. That love for creativity led me to a BA in Fashion Styling and a career as a professional makeup artist, before spending the last decade teaching Media Makeup, guiding aspiring artists on their own journeys.
But somewhere along the way, my own creative spark began to fade, and I realised I was helping others chase their dreams while quietly putting mine on hold.
So I made a change.
Fashion illustration had always tugged at my heart. I took a leap and enrolled in a Master’s in Illustration at Falmouth University, balancing study, full-time teaching, and motherhood. In 2024, I graduated and took the bold step to leave teaching behind and pursue my passion full-time. That decision gave life to The Illustrated Edit.

Starting my Etsy shop reignited my creativity and reshaped my life. It gave me freedom: to be present with my two boys, to create with purpose, and to build a career that aligns with who I truly am. No more rigid routines, just joyful, meaningful work that connects with others who share a love for fashion and beauty.
