Adoro progettare nuovi prodotti e migliorare quelli esistenti, cosa che mi ha portato al mio attuale percorso professionale come ingegnere progettista. Ciò è sempre accompagnato da critiche seguite dal bisogno di migliorare la maggior parte dei dispositivi su cui ho messo le mani. E ho deciso di iniziare con le cose semplici, quelle divertenti, ottenendo quel 20% in più su un prodotto che è buono all'80%.
Questo è ciò che mi ha portato a creare questo negozio. So quanto apprezzo un prodotto ben progettato ed ero sicuro che lo avrebbero fatto anche gli altri.
La stampa 3D ha reso la realizzazione delle idee più semplice che mai e, soprattutto, su scala ripetibile. Con i miei oltre 8 anni di esperienza nella modellazione 3D e nella stampa 3D, credevo di poter avere un impatto. Ovviamente non è prodotto in serie e le linee a strati mi perseguiteranno, ma faccio del mio meglio per trovare un equilibrio tra prezzo, forma e funzione.
Un buon design è invisibile. Un design invisibile è un design che funziona. Qui in JX3 Design Store, ogni gingillo, accessorio o prodotto deve passare attraverso il mio filtro prima di raggiungerti. E non prendo semplicemente modelli da Internet e li produco in serie. Non che ce ne siano molti buoni là fuori, ma so di poterne progettare uno migliore di così. Credo che questo garantisca il punto di riferimento minimo di qualità e affidabilità per i miei prodotti.
La storia non finisce qui. Ho in programma di introdurre nuovi prodotti, prodotti divertenti e prodotti funzionali. La facciata del negozio potrebbe apparire molto diversa la prossima volta che sarai qui oppure no. Ma posso assicurarti che i valori fondamentali rimarranno gli stessi. Una tastiera meccanica che ho progettato per me mi ha portato a introdurre l'interruttore a chiave fidget e i sottobicchieri PCB. Sono entusiasta di vedere cosa inventerò dopo. Sentiti libero di seguire il negozio se la pensi allo stesso modo.
I love designing new products and improving existing ones which lead me to my current career path as a design engineer. That always came with criticism followed by an urge to improve upon most devices I lay my hands on. And I decided to start with the simple stuff, the fun stuff, getting that extra 20% on a product which is 80% good.
That’s what led me to create this store. I know how much I appreciate a well-designed product, and I was sure others would too.
3D printing just made bringing ideas to life easier than it ever was, and most importantly on a repeatable scale. With my 8+ years of experience around 3D modelling and 3D printing, I believed I could make an impact. Of course, it is not mass manufactured, and the layer lines are going to haunt me, but I try my best to find a balance between price, form, and function.
A good design is invisible. An invisible design is design that works. Here in JX3 Design Store, every trinket, accessory, or product must go through my filter before reaching you. And I don’t just get models from the internet and just mass produce them. Not that there are many good ones out there, but I know I can design one better than that. I believe this ensures the minimum benchmark of quality and reliability for my products.
The story doesn’t end here. I have plans to introduce new products, fun products, and functional products. The store front might look way different the next time you are here or might not. But I can assure you the core values will remain the same. A mechanical keyboard I designed for myself led me to introduce the fidget key switch and the PCB coasters.
