¿Recuerdas haber ido alguna vez a ese partido de fútbol o fiesta de fútbol / béisbol con tu familia y amigos? ¿Te vistes los viernes para apoyar a tu equipo en el trabajo en los días de vestimenta? y luego buscó en su joyero el collar, aretes o pulsera perfecto para combinarlo? Bueno, estuve en tus zapatos hace unos años. Todas las joyas en las tiendas eran baratas o no tenían el * PIZAZZE * que estaba buscando. ¡Así que comencé a diseñar mis propias joyas para representar a mi equipo local, los Green Bay Packers!
Siempre me ha apasionado el arte y el diseño. Mi suegra enseñaba vidrieras y tenía un pequeño negocio secundario diseñando las piezas de joyería más intrigantes que había visto. A partir de ese momento, me dije a mí mismo, iba a dominar eso, y lo hice. Tomé lo que aprendí de ella, perfeccioné mis habilidades, agregué mi propio destello y nació Jill Gehr Designs. Tengo dos líneas de joyería muy diferentes. Una línea abarca mi amor por el fútbol americano (tengo una obsesión con los Green Bay Packers, mi equipo local) y otros deportes. El otro abraza mi amor por el arte, la creación, el diseño, los colores, la naturaleza y mi amor por la fotografía.
Nunca pude encontrar ningún pendiente Packers que me gustara, así que comencé a diseñar para mí, lo que llevó a familiares y amigos a querer que les hiciera aretes ... lo que llevó a un querido amigo mío a decirme que subiera y vendiera algunas de mis joyas en Green Bay. Pensé, ¿por qué no? ¡Así que comencé con una de esas mesas de bar pequeñas y altas y he crecido hasta el punto en que ahora tenemos nuestro propio stand! ¡Tenemos clientes de todo Estados Unidos! Nuestro negocio ha triplicado sus ventas solo con respecto al año pasado. Cada pieza de joyería que he creado fue inspirada por uno de nuestros fans. Siempre me esfuerzo por hacer que nuestros clientes sean los clientes más felices de la historia.
Hace tres años nos invitaron a Tailgate con veteranos en nuestra área local, donde recaudan fondos para ganar dinero para ayudar a otros veteranos. ¡Mi esposo y yo queríamos ser parte de eso! ¡Y queríamos hacer algo especial! Así que decidimos donar el 50% de nuestras ventas en un juego en casa en noviembre. Hasta la fecha hemos donado $1,900. Todavía recuerdo las lágrimas corriendo por una de las caras del veterano cuando le entregué $ 510.00 ese primer año. Es una experiencia muy humillante.
A partir de ahí, comencé a tener familiares y amigos de Facebook, que NO son fanáticos de los Packers, pidiéndome que creara y diseñara joyas usando el logotipo de sus equipos. Me decían que les encantaban mis diseños, pero que no amaban a mis Packers. ¡LOL! Me emocioné. Pensé en todos los diferentes colores, variaciones, ideas y así comenzamos a expandir otras joyas con licencia del logotipo del equipo de la NFL. Es nuestro objetivo en 2016 tener varios diseños para cada equipo de la NFL. Si ves un equipo que no tenemos en la lista, ¡por favor háznoslo saber! ¡Me sentiría honrado de diseñar algo para su equipo!
La parte de diseño de Wearable Art de nuestro negocio es mi bebé. Cada pieza tiene su propia historia. Nuestros diseños son inspiraciones de una pintura mía, de nuestra hija, la de Loren Marie, una fotografía que tomé o una que tomó nuestra hija. Algunos de los diseños pueden tardar entre una semana y dos semanas en crearse de principio a fin y, debido al proceso con resina, no hay dos iguales y siempre habrá ligeras variaciones. La gente se sorprende al descubrir lo ligeras que son las piezas. Parecen vidrio, pero no lo es, la mayoría son resina y papel. Algunos son tan ligeros que ni siquiera sabes que los estás usando. ¡Lo que significa que es fácil para los lóbulos de la oreja!
Cuando compre una de nuestras piezas, queremos que sepa que es única. ¡Cada pieza está hecha con amor de mi corazón al tuyo! Estamos orgullosos de ofrecer una amplia variedad de artículos. Todas nuestras joyas están hábilmente hechas a mano con el simple objetivo de ofrecer a nuestros clientes piezas de diseño de la más alta calidad a precios asequibles.
Los materiales utilizados son metal libre de níquel, plateado, chapado en oro, cuentas de vidrio, cristales Swarovksi, gemas, latón, cobre y peltre. Remember ever going to that football game or football / baseball party with your family and friends? Do you dress up on Friday's to support your team at work on dress down days? and then looked in your jewelry box for the perfect necklace, earrings, or bracelet to match it? Well, I was in your shoes a few years back. All the jewelry in the stores were either cheaply made or didn't have the * PIZAZZE * that I was looking for. So I started designing my own jewelry to represent my home team the Green bay Packers!
I've always had a passion for art and design. My mother-in-law taught stained glass and had a little side business designing the most intriguing pieces of jewelry I had ever seen. From that moment on, I told myself, I was going to master that, and I did. I took what I learned from her, honed my skills, added my own flare and Jill Gehr Designs was born. I have two very different lines of jewelry. One line embraces my love for football (I have an obsession with the Green Bay Packers, my home team) and other sports. The other embraces my love of art, creating, designing, colors, nature and my love of photography.
I could never find any Packers earrings that I liked, so I started designing for myself, which led to family and friends wanting me to make earrings for them...which led to a dear friend of mine telling me to go up and sell some of my jewelry in Green Bay. I thought, why not? So I started out with one of those small, tall, bar tables and have grown to the point where we have our own booth now! We have customers from all over the United States! Our business has tripled its sales from last year alone. Every piece of jewelry I've created was inspired from one of our fans. I'm always striving to make our customers the happiest customers ever.
Three years ago we were invited to Tailgate with veterans in our local area where they fundraise to make money to help other veterans. My husband and I wanted to be a part of that! And we wanted to do something special! So we decided to donate 50% of our sales on one home game in November. To date we have donated $1,900. I still remember the tears running down one of the Veteran's faces when I handed him $510.00 that first year. It's a very humbling experience.
From there, I started having facebook family and friends, who are NOT Packers fans, asking me to create and design jewelry using their teams logo. They would tell me that they loved my designs, but they didn't love my Packers. LOL! I got excited. I thought of all the different colors, variations, ideas and so we started expanding other Licensed NFL Team Logo Jewelry. It's our goal in 2016 to have several designs for each NFL team. If you see a team that we don't have listed, please let us know! I would be honored to design something for your team!
The Wearable Art design part of our business is my baby. Each piece has its own story. Our designs are inspirations from either a painting of mine, our daughter, Loren Marie's, a photograph I took, or one our daughter took. Some of the designs can take anywhere from one week to two weeks to create from start to finish and due to the process using resin, no two are ever the same and there will always be slight variations. People are so surprised to find out how light the pieces are. They look like glass, but it's not, most are resin and paper. Some are so light that you don't even know that you're wearing them. Which means easy on the ear lobes!
When you purchases one of our pieces, we want you to know that it is a one of a kind. Each piece is made with love from my heart to yours! We are proud to offer a wide variety of items. All our jewelry is skillfully hand crafted with the simple goal to offer our customer the highest quality designer pieces at affordable prices.
Materials used are either Nickel-free metal, silver-plated, gold-plated, glass beads, Swarovksi Crystals, Gems, , brass, copper and pewter. All earrings wires are Surgical Stainless Steel French hooks unless otherwise noted. If you ever have any questions, please ask! :-)
