Four decades as a Registered Nurse provided me with the opportunity to work across diverse healthcare delivery settings. With this I was witness to birth, death, rupture, resilience, and every shade of human becoming, quite honestly literally and figuratively. Nursing shaped me, then gloriously broke me wide open, which ultimately initiated me into the deeper truth of who I am and what led me to become a healer, one whose calling was never limited to traditional medicine. A woman who washed with flooding memories of her own and lived in survival mode for decades. Nursing is no joke. Healer- Heal Thyself, right? Burnout. Compassion fatigue. It's quite inherent. It is completely an energetic no brainer. I learned the heaviness that I carried was not a personal failure. It is an initiation! A painful gift with a beautiful bow atop which I welcomed with open arms and an open heart. A rupture that revealed what has been destined as my own. I became obsessed with all the things wonderful about healing and what that actually mean on this level. It was a natural gravitation toward Carl Jung. His concept of The Psyche sparked a revolution inside. I studied. I read. I wrote. I do the work. I help others do the very same. With my writing I carry this forward. My hope is that you can learn, think enjoy and grow with my books. They are deep and factual with a poetic edge, sometimes satirical because you know, a bite of a caper always makes the wine taste sweeter.
