Just Be Yourself Designs
I actually opened my Etsy shop in 2007, but it wasn't until 2012 that I started listing items for sale. Previously, I was a folk doll and mixed media artist, and I began to dabble with digital art. I fell in love with digital design, and enrolled in art school, majoring in graphic design. While I loved my classes, I realized that once again, I wanted to work for myself...and that's when I began designing digital papers and other printables. I love experimenting with different techniques in order to offer truly unique printables and digital scrapbook papers.
My "style" has always been distressed and grungy, and that style gradually made it's way into my digital art as well. Color and texture are my greatest muses.
Rarely a day goes by without creating something...I love what I do, and I love it when my art connects with my customers! My goal, in addition to creating, is always to provide the best in customer service.
Why name my Etsy shop "Just Be Yourself"?
"I believe that each person has value, and that because we're unique, it's important to just be ourselves. When we embrace who we are and who we're created to be, we will find an inner joy and peace without striving to be what we're not."
As an artist, I don't want to copy someone else's style and I want to remain as original as possible. It's easier to explore the possibilities and be true to myself rather than to try to be someone I'm not meant to be.
