Knit Design Studio is a small Ukrainian workshop founded in 2015 in Kyiv. We specialize in chunky hand-spun merino yarn and timeless chunky knitwear made with care and purpose. Our philosophy is simple: slow fashion, honest materials, and pieces that keep you warm for years.

Our yarn
We work with extra-fine merino from a reputable Italian mill and spin it by hand in small batches, then lightly felt for durability and a buttery-soft feel. Two thicknesses: Merino Maxi (≈1–1.5 cm) for ultra-chunky projects and Merino Mini (≈5–7 mm) for lighter knits. Choose from 70+ colors.

Unlike raw “roving” used only for photos, our hand-spun yarn is designed for real, everyday wear — warm, resilient, and beautifully textured.
Made to order, just for you
Each item is knitted by hand in our Kyiv studio. Need a specific size, color combo, or length? We’ll customize it — from a snug fisherman beanie to an extra-long scarf.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from Kyiv, Ukraine. Orders are made to order; typical making time is 3–5 business days. US orders ship on DDP terms (duties & taxes prepaid by us) for a smooth, no-surprises delivery.
