This privacy policy tells you how I collect, use, and share your personal data when you interact with me and you purchase an item from me on Etsy.com
It also tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

➤ TYPE OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED

'Personal data' means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

This personal data falls into these categories:
• Identity data includes first name and last name. If you interact with me through social media, this may include your social media user name
• Contact data includes billing address, delivery address and email address
• Transaction data includes details about payments to and from you and other details of items you have purchased from me

➤ HOW IS YOUR PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED?

I use different methods to collect data from and about you. This includes personal data you provide when you:
• sign up to receive my newsletter
• make enquiries or request information be sent to you
• order my items on Etsy.com

It is important that the personal data I hold about you is accurate and current. Please update your account if necessary, thank you.

• to process and deliver your order
• to provide you with the service you have requested (for example, my newsletter)
• to administer and protect my business
• in order to resolve legal claims or disputes involving you or me

I may share your personal data with the parties set out below for the purposes set out in this privacy policy. I may also share your personal data if the law otherwise allows it.

I may share personal data with the following categories third parties:
• service providers (such as post and courier services, newsletter provider…)
• judicial authority or any other administrative authority
• I also share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.

I require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law.

➤ TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION

Whenever I transfer your personal data out of the European Union, I will comply with applicable data protection law.

Some of the mechanisms I may choose to use when undertaking an international transfer are:
• the transfer of your personal data is to a country that has officially been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data by the European Commission
• where I use providers based in the US, I may transfer data to them if they are part of the Privacy Shield which requires them to provide similar protection to personal data shared between the Europe and the US. If the provider is not EU-US Privacy Shield certified, I may use the EU Model Clauses.

➤ PERSONAL INFORMATION RETENTION PERIOD

I will only keep your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes I collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

By law I have to keep basic information about my customers (including contact, identity, financial and transaction Data) for ten years after they stop being customers.

➤ YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS

In accordance with the French data protection act (Act n°78-17 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, data files and civil liberties), you have the right:
• to be informed,
• to access,
• to rectify,
• to erasure,
• to restrict processing: that's the right for you to ask me for a copy of your personal data in a common format (for example a .csv file)
• to object to the processing of your personal data
• to give instructions regarding the fate of your personal data after your death.

I may need to request specific information from you to help me confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data, or to exercise any of your other rights. This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. I may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
I try to respond to all legitimate requests within two months. Occasionally it may take me longer than two months if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, I will notify you and keep you updated.

Please note that if you want to access, correct, delete… personal information held by Etsy, you must send a request directly to Etsy.

➤ PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURITY AND PRIVACY

The security of your personal information is important to me. I take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information.
However, I cannot warrant and do not represent that my level of security meets or exceeds any specific standards. No Internet transmission is 100% secure or error-free, nor is stored data free from vulnerabilities. I cannot guarantee the security of my databases or services, nor can I guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to me over the Internet. I am not responsible for the actions of third parties.
