About Letters from Toby
Some stories begin in the most unexpected places. Letters from Toby began during the quiet of lockdown in 2021, when the world had slowed to a stillness and a little squirrel named Toby found his voice.
Toby's story is a simple one. When a storm destroyed his beloved tree house, he was rescued by Lucy the penguin, who carried him to a new home aboard the blue train — where he found a new family in George the brown bear, Oliver the giraffe, William the elephant, and Benjamin the pig. Together they travel the world, meet new friends, and have many adventures.
And somewhere along the way, Toby discovered he loves to write letters.
He writes to his good friend Charlie the badger — sharing his adventures, his observations, and the small, wonderful things he notices about the world around him. The first 5 letters are now available in this shop, with more to come. Every letter is written and illustrated by Denise Wong, the artist behind DeniseWongArts.
