"Merimask Designs" è Andrea Masse-Tognetti, artista auto-rappresentante della parte occidentale di New York. Andrea è autodidatta nell'arte della creazione di maschere in pelle e da oltre vent'anni lavora esclusivamente con la scultura in pelle.
Nel 2006, Merimask ha creato diversi progetti per il Cirque Du Soleil. Attualmente, una versione sintetica della sua maschera "Frivole" è in produzione di massa e disponibile nei negozi di articoli da regalo del Cirque Du Soleil ovunque.
Nel 2008, Andrea è stato invitato a creare oltre cinquanta maschere esclusive per la produzione Muscle Musical "Magicarade", a Tokyo in Giappone. È apparsa in diversi programmi televisivi nazionali giapponesi con le sue maschere durante le festività natalizie 2008-2009.
Nel 2009, Merimask Designs ha creato maschere per diverse produzioni teatrali negli Stati Uniti, tra cui il Jacksonville Nutcracker Ballet in Florida e la produzione Circus Juventas di "Yulong" a Minneapolis. Nell'ottobre dello stesso anno, Andrea è apparsa al Martha Stewart Show e ha dimostrato la sua tecnica di creazione di maschere in diretta televisiva nazionale.
Nel 2010, Merimask Designs è stata incaricata di creare diverse maschere di lupo per le vetrine della stagione di Halloween in tutti gli Stati Uniti. Le maschere erano presenti nelle vetrine dei negozi Ralph Lauren Rugby ovunque.
Nel 2011, un quartetto di lupi bianchi di Merimask è stato presentato in una campagna pubblicitaria cosmetica internazionale. Le maschere di lupo sono state utilizzate in un servizio fotografico di moda per il profumo "Neiges" di Lise Watier Cosmetiques, girato a Toronto. Nel 2011, Andrea ha disegnato quattro maschere da gufo per un gruppo hip-hop britannico emergente chiamato The Four Owls. Attualmente, le maschere possono essere viste in spettacoli e video in tutta Europa e nel Regno Unito.

Nell'estate del 2012, Merimask è stato incaricato di produrre progetti per il Metropolitan Opera. Oltre cinquanta maschere di Anubi sono apparse sul palco (e in simulcast nelle sale cinematografiche di tutto il mondo) nella produzione del 2013 di "Rigoletto".
Sempre nel 2013, la maschera di volpe nera di Merimask è apparsa nell'episodio 304 dello show televisivo di successo della ABC "Once Upon A Time".
Nel 2014, Merimask ha creato tre progetti in esclusiva per il tour mondiale "Prismatic" di Katy Perry. Le sue maschere egiziane sono presenti durante la canzone "Dark Horse" e sono indossate dai ballerini di Katy (costumi di Marina Toybina).
Nel 2015 e di nuovo nel 2016, la maschera del falco egiziano Horus di Andrea è stata presentata nello show televisivo "The Librarians".

"Merimask Designs" is Andrea Masse-Tognetti, a self-representing artist from western New York. Andrea is self taught in the art of leather mask making and has been working exclusively with leather sculpture for over twenty years.
In 2006, Merimask created several designs for Cirque Du Soleil. Currently, a synthetic version of her mask "Frivole" is in mass production and available in Cirque Du Soleil gifts shops everywhere.
In 2008, Andrea was invited to create over fifty exclusive masks for the Muscle Musical production "Magicarade", in Tokyo Japan. She appeared on several national Japanese television shows with her masks throughout the 2008-2009 holiday season.

In 2011, A quartet of Merimask's white wolves were featured in an international cosmetics advertising campaign. The wolf masks were used in a fashion photo shoot for Lise Watier Cosmetiques "Neiges" perfume, shot in Toronto. The advertisements appeared throughout Canada during the 2011 holiday season. In 2011, Andrea designed four owl masks for an up and coming UK hip-hop group called The Four Owls. Currently, the masks can be seen in performances and videos all throughout Europe and the UK.
