Sono sempre stato affascinato dagli insetti (e talvolta terrorizzato!) Ma quando mi sono trasferito nel Florida Panhandle il mio interesse è esploso in un hobby. All'improvviso qualsiasi insetto randagio nel cortile divenne il mio animale domestico e la mia collezione di esemplari morti traboccò. Ho imparato quanto fosse facile allevare insetti nel mio soggiorno e ho trovato i loro cicli di vita educativi per me e per gli altri. Tuttavia, è stato un processo molto sperimentale poiché non c’erano molte informazioni utili su come mantenere gli invertiti. Gli insetti rappresentano la più grande percentuale degli organismi mondiali e tuttavia non sappiamo praticamente nulla di loro. Voglio condividere la mia passione con il mondo per cambiare la situazione, anche se si tratta di un bug alla volta.

I had always been fascinated by insects (and sometimes terrified!) but when I moved to the Florida Panhandle my interest exploded into a hobby. Suddenly any stray insect in the yard became my pet and my collection of dead specimens was overflowing. I learned how easy it was to breed insects in my living room, and found their life cycles educational for myself and others. However, it was a very experimental process as there was not much useful information out there on keeping inverts. Insects represent the largest percentage of the world's organisms and yet we know virtually nothing about them. I want to share my passion with the world to change that, even if it's one bug at a time.
