¡Hola y bienvenidos a Middle Fish Designs!
Mi nombre es Jason Herring y soy el hijo mediano de tres niños Herring, por lo tanto, soy el "Pez Medio" de mi familia. También soy un esposo leal y amoroso para un Maestro; hemos estado muy felizmente casados durante casi 19 años, y soy padre de tres hijos increíbles. Mi fe es lo primero, en segundo lugar están mi familia y amigos. En tercer lugar, coloco mi trabajo. Todo lo demás viene después, en consecuencia. Siempre he hecho todo lo posible para cumplir con estas pautas.
A lo largo de mi vida he tenido un interés en las cosas artísticas y creativas, pero realmente no he tenido una buena salida para mi creatividad y capacidad artística. A lo largo de los años he hecho varios dones para la Iglesia, la Familia, los Amigos y para el trabajo, pero nunca he tenido el tiempo para hacer más que unas pocas creaciones escuchadas y allí. Ahora me estoy tomando un tiempo para discernir si de hecho puedo probar a vender mis creaciones y ESTA tienda de Etsy es solo el comienzo de mi viaje creativo.
Siempre he tenido un gran interés en hacer joyas, crear con color, cosplay prop building, cake sculpting, proyectos de electrónica, carpintería, y como me gusta decirlo, retoques en general. Se sabe que diseño mis propios accesorios y accesorios para el espacio de trabajo en lugar de comprar artículos prefabricados en el estante. Me encanta hacer hallazgos interesantes y usar componentes inusuales para fines alternativos. ¡Cualquier cosa puede ser una herramienta!
"¿Por qué ahora?" es una pregunta que he estado recibiendo de algunos. Mi respuesta es: "si no es ahora, ¿cuándo?". Con toda seriedad, perdimos a mi suegra debido a una horrible colisión de tráfico recientemente. Mi hija mayor también estuvo involucrada en el accidente, pero afortunadamente solo sufrió lesiones menores. Mi esposa, sin embargo, ahora no tiene padres. Tengo la suerte de tener todavía ambos y eso es más al punto de "¿Por qué ahora?". Esta pérdida ha traído a la cruda realidad lo frágil que es la vida y que nunca sabemos cuándo será nuestro último momento con un ser querido. Mi plan es en realidad doble: 1) Poner en marcha mi tienda de Etsy, y 2) Ayudar a mis padres ancianos en su tienda de grabado estilo Mom 'n Pop aquí en San Antonio, TX.
Inicialmente, proporcionaré varios productos de tipo joyería para incluir anillos de monedas, collares, colgantes, amuletos, rosarios y realmente cualquier cosa que se me ocurra creativamente que sienta que encajará con todos mis objetos hechos a mano. Más adelante y a medida que mi estudio de diseño evolucione, crearé varios accesorios para uso general y cosplay. También estaré girando las cosas en un torno, mecanizando delgados con un molino y en Tinkering mi camino a una tienda de Etsy en toda regla.
Estoy muy agradecido por su amable atención (especialmente si ha llegado hasta aquí), soy optimista de que se unirá a mí en mi viaje hacia y a través de la creatividad. Hello and Welcome to Middle Fish Designs!
My name is Jason Herring and I am the middle son of three Herring boys, thus I am the "Middle Fish" of my family. I am also a loyal and loving husband to a Teacher; we have been very happily married for almost 19 years, and I am a father to three amazing children. My Faith comes first, Second are my family and friends. Thirdly I place my work. All else comes after, accordingly. I have always done my level best to adhere to these guidelines.
Throughout my life I have had an interest in Artistic and creative things, but have not really had a good outlet for my creativity and artistic ability. Over the years I have made various gifts for Church, Family, Friends and for work, but I have never had the time to make more than a few creations hear and there. I am now taking some time to discern whether I can in fact make a go of selling my creations and THIS Etsy store is just a beginning to my creative journey.
I have always had strong interest in making Jewelry, Creating with Color, Cosplay Prop Building, Cake Sculpting, Electronics Projects, Woodworking, and as I like to put it, Tinkering in general. I have been known to design my own props and work-space accouterments rather than purchase off the shelf pre-fabbed items. I love making interesting finds and using unusual components for alternate purposes. Anything can be a tool!
"Why now?" is a question I have been getting from some. My answer is, "if not now then when?". In all seriousness, we lost my mother in law due to an horrific traffic collision recently. My eldest daughter was also involved in the accident but very thankfully only incurred minor injury. My wife however now has no parents. I am fortunate to still have both and that is more to the point as to "Why Now?". This loss has brought into stark reality how very fragile life is and that we never know when our last moment with a loved one will be. My plan is actually two fold: 1) Get My Etsy Store up and Running, and 2) Help my aging parents in their Mom 'n Pop Style Engraving store here in San Antonio, TX.
Initially I will be providing various jewelry type products to include Coin Rings, Necklaces, Pendants, Charms, Rosaries, and really anything that comes to mind creatively that I feel will fit in with all of my hand made objects. Later and as my design studio evolves I will be creating various props for general and Cosplay use. I will also be turning things on a lathe, machining thins with a mill, and in Tinkering my way to a full blown Etsy Shop.
I am most thankful for your very kind attention (especially if you have made it this far), I am optimistic that you will join me in my journey to, and through creativity.
