Eu coleciono carros modelo 1:18 em escala. Um dos favoritos na minha coleção é o Porsche 917 LH #21 com o livery da Martini Racing. Na minha opinião, a melhor vista desse carro é olhar para ele de cima. Você pode realmente ver a beleza dessas listras icônicas em sua totalidade. Eu nunca fui feliz com o jeito que eu tinha exibido quando ele estava apenas sentado em uma prateleira. Eu queria ver o carro de cima. Tentei pendurá-lo na parede sozinho, mas não estava certo. Então, pensei em montar o modelo em algo que se assemelhasse ao livery e depois pendurar isso na parede, mas o quê? A única coisa que eu conseguia pensar era em uma pintura personalizada que eu ia ter que criar. Mas não sabia absolutamente nada sobre pintura. Nada... Depois de uma viagem à loja de suprimentos de arte local, e um curso intensivo de um funcionário muito paciente sobre tintas acrílicas eu dei uma chance à minha ideia. Desde aquele dia criei mais de 150 Montes Modelo.
I collect 1:18 scale model cars. A favorite in my collection is the Porsche 917 LH #21 with the Martini Racing livery. In my opinion, the best view of that car is looking at it from above. You can truly see the beauty of those iconic stripes in their entirety. I was never happy with the way I had it displayed when it was just sitting on a shelf. I wanted to see the car from the top. I tried hanging it on a wall by itself, but it wasn't quite right. Then, I thought about mounting the model on something that resembled the livery and then hanging that on a wall, but what? The only thing I could think of was a custom painting which I was going to have to create. I knew absolutely nothing about painting though. Nothing... After a trip to the local art supply store, and a crash course from a very patient employee about acrylic paints I gave my idea a go. Since that day I have created over 150 Model Mounts.
