Hola, mi nombre es Katerina Sokol.
Mi abuela me enseñó a tejer cuando era bastante pequeña. Tengo recuerdos tempranos de sentarme a su lado en mi pequeña silla y verla tejer. Ella me mostraba los patrones básicos y hacía ropa para mis muñecas y mi oso de peluche favorito. Estaba sentado a su lado y aprendiendo este oficio.
Eventualmente aprendí a tejer y hacer ganchillo por mí misma y mejoré mis habilidades. No tejería solo para mis muñecas, sino también para otras personas. Primero empecé a tejer para mi familia, luego para mis amigos y finalmente empecé a tomar pedidos.
En el transcurso del tiempo, tejer se convirtió en un pasatiempo de por vida para mí.
También me encantaba hacer accesorios desde que era un niño. Cuando crecí, este otro pasatiempo se convirtió en mi carrera.
Ingresé a la Universidad de artes. He trabajado en diferentes géneros de arte decorativo como pintura, batik, artes aplicadas y joyería.
Han pasado muchos años desde entonces, pero mi deseo de crear, hacer cosas útiles y hermosas con mis manos solo se fortalece cada día.
Hello, my name is Katerina Sokol.
My grandma taught me to knit when I was quite small. I have early memories of sitting next to her on my little chair and watching her knit. She would show me the basic patterns and make clothes for my dolls and my favorite teddy bear. An I was sitting next to her and learning this craft.
Eventually I learned to knit and crochet by myself and improved my skills. I would not knit only for my dolls, but also for other people. First I started to knit for my family, then for my friends and finally I began to take orders.
In the course of time knitting became a lifetime hobby for me.
I also loved to make accessories since I was a child. When I grew up, this other hobby became my career.
I entered University of Arts. I've worked in different decorative art genres like painting, batik, applied art and jewelry.
Many years have passed since then but my desire to create, make useful and beautiful things with my hands only grows stronger every day.
