Hola, soy Sam. Soy las manos, el corazón y el hilo ligeramente enredado detrás de Moop & Moo Designs.
Mi pasión por la artesanía empezó desde pequeña. Era la niña artística que siempre tenía un lápiz en una mano y lana en la otra. Mi tía abuela me enseñó a tejer a crochet a los siete años, y a los nueve ya tejía con mi mejor amiga. Esa temprana pasión por las artes textiles me acompañó a lo largo de los años.
En la preparatoria, participé en el programa de arte del Bachillerato Internacional y tuve la oportunidad de viajar a Italia dos veces con mi profesor de historia del arte. Estar rodeado de siglos de arte y cultura moldeó mi perspectiva creativa y profundizó mi amor por la narrativa visual. Estudié historia del arte en la universidad, donde seguí aprendiendo, creando y perfeccionando mi visión.
Después de graduarme, abrí una pequeña empresa diseñando gráficos para pijamas de bebé. Esa experiencia me brindó un curso intensivo sobre Etsy, ferias, contabilidad, inventario y todos los aspectos de la vida de una pequeña empresa. Tras varios años de desarrollo y aprendizaje, cambié de rumbo para centrarme en mi trabajo de 9 a 5. Aun así, seguí creando por mi cuenta, tejiendo y diseñando solo por diversión.
Con el tiempo, me di cuenta de que el crochet se estaba volviendo más visible y apreciado en la cultura popular. Vi la oportunidad de compartir mi pasión por esta artesanía de una forma nueva. Empecé a diseñar logotipos y gráficos que se dirigían directamente a personas como yo: crocheteras, tejedoras, costureras y amantes de la lana que quieren expresar su identidad creativa con orgullo. Ese fue el comienzo de Moop & Moo Designs.
Cada artículo que hago está inspirado en la alegría de crear y en la increíble comunidad de creadores. Ya seas un acaparador empedernido de lana, un aficionado de fin de semana o alguien que simplemente disfruta de un ambiente acogedor y un diseño ingenioso, eres bienvenido aquí.

Hi, I’m Sam. I’m the hands, heart, and slightly tangled yarn behind Moop & Moo Designs.
My love for making started young. I was the artsy kid who always had a pencil in one hand and yarn in the other. My great aunt taught me to crochet when I was seven, and by nine I was knitting with my best friend. That early passion for fiber arts stuck with me through the years.
In high school, I was part of the International Baccalaureate art program and had the chance to travel to Italy twice with my art history teacher. Being surrounded by centuries of art and culture shaped my creative perspective and deepened my love for visual storytelling. I went on to major in art history in college, where I kept learning, creating, and refining my eye.
After graduating, I launched a small business designing graphics for baby onesies. That experience gave me a crash course in Etsy, tradeshows, accounting, inventory, and all the moving parts of small business life. After several years of building and learning, I shifted gears to focus on my 9-to-5 career. Even then, I kept creating on the side, crocheting and designing just for fun.
Eventually, I noticed that crochet was becoming more visible and appreciated in pop culture. I saw an opportunity to share my love for the craft in a new way. I started designing logos and graphics that spoke directly to people like me—the crocheters, knitters, sewists, and yarn lovers who want to express their creative identity with pride. That was the beginning of Moop & Moo Designs.
Every item I make is inspired by the joy of creating and the incredible community of makers. Whether you're a hardcore yarn hoarder, a weekend hobbyist, or someone who just loves a cozy vibe and a clever design, you're welcome here.
