Sharing joyfulness with each interaction!
I have known sewing all my life. It was always personal and exciting when I received presents that I knew were hand made. My grandmother was a seamstress, and she worked out of her house making dresses and other crafts. I can't even describe to you how it felt when she'd bring over projects she made for us. I remember how special my sister and I felt receiving one-of-a-kind dresses for our American Girl dolls, knowing it was special and made with love. It wasn't until I was older that I could really appreciate how special they were, but it did spark my love for sewing at a young age.
Not everything I tried turned out right, and there were a few times a jammed my mother's sewing machine, but eventually I learned enough skills to be confident in my abilities. My first major project was my prom dress, that was sewn from scratch. I was so proud of what I created, and from then on I have been sewing like mad!
I love how people light up when they received a gift or product from me, knowing that because I want them to feel jubilant and safe, they can trust that I built everything with care and love.
