¡Hola a todos! Me llamo Laura. Empecé mi pequeño negocio de pañuelos únicos para perros justo antes de la COVID-19. No conocía los pañuelos para perros, ya que nunca había tenido uno. Pero en noviembre de 2019, tras cumplir por fin mi sueño de pagar la entrada por un cachorro, empecé a buscar cosas que comprarle antes de que naciera. Fue entonces cuando descubrí los pañuelos para perros. Como me encantan, quise crear los míos propios, con mis diseños y estilos favoritos. Para cuando recogí a mi cachorro (Candy) en marzo de 2020, la COVID-19 ya había llegado. Trabajaba desde casa y, entre el entrenamiento de mi nuevo cachorro y el trabajo, encontré tiempo suficiente para aprender a coser (¡de forma autodidacta!) y lanzar mi nuevo negocio, seleccionando diseños de pañuelos y cosiéndolos. No era el mejor momento para emprender, con todas las restricciones de envíos, el cierre de tiendas, etc. Pero aun así, fue una gran oportunidad para aprender, pedir materiales, organizar mi flujo de trabajo y mis colecciones, y mejorar mis habilidades empresariales. Aunque vengo de una familia de autónomos/emprendedores que han hecho su trabajo por sí mismos, era la primera vez que emprendía mi propio negocio, así que fue emocionante y desafiante a la vez. Recientemente descubrí una nueva pasión: crear arte digital que captura los momentos favoritos de la vida de las personas con sus seres queridos y/o sus mascotas. Hi everyone! My name is Laura. I launched my small business making unique dog bandanas right before COVID-19. I was unfamiliar with dog bandanas, having never owned a dog. But in November 2019, after finally realizing my dream of putting down a deposit on a puppy, I started looking up things to buy for her before she arrived. That's when I found out about dog bandanas. Having become a huge fan of them, I wanted to create my own, with my very own preferred designs and styles. By the time I picked up my puppy (Candy) in March 2020, COVID-19 had hit. I was working from home, and in between training my new puppy and work, I found enough time to learn how to sew (self-taught!) and launch my new business curating designs for bandanas, and sewing them. It was not the best time to launch a business, with all the restrictions in place on shipments, closure of stores, etc. But it was nonetheless a great opportunity for me to learn, to order materials, to organize my workflow and collections, and improve my entrepreneurship skills. Although I come from a family of self-employed / self-made entrepreneurs, it was the first time ever I've launched my own proper business, so it was both exciting and daunting at the same time. I have recently found a new passion -- creating digital art that captures people's favourite moments in life with their favourite people and/or their furry companions.
