Nací en un maravilloso legado de arte. En Italia, generaciones trabajaron en el negocio familiar de cerámica. Sin embargo, era un artista brillante y un artesano hábil que podía crear obras maestras a partir de cualquier cosa. Una de mis pertenencias más preciadas es un impresionante anillo que hizo a mano para mi abuela.
Vengo por mi amor por la joyería honestamente. Recuerdo a mi abuela apilando pulseras en mis brazos y metiéndome en la amplia colección de pendientes de mi madre. No mucho después, comencé a hacer pulseras trenzadas. En mi adolescencia, me gradué para hacer alambre simple y joyas con cuentas. A medida que mis gustos maduraban, también lo hacían mis creaciones.
El nombre de los tesoros de Nefe se inspiró en nuestra mezcla de corgi sinvergüenza, Nefertiti. Si miras cuidadosamente nuestro logotipo, notarás un busto de un perro. Eso es Nefe. Incorporé un dibujo de su silueta al hacer una lluvia de ideas sobre logotipos. Sin embargo, nuestra tienda no es solo una oda a uno de nuestros dos perros. Su nombre es un guiño a mi fascinación de toda la vida con las culturas antiguas y el Dr. Who. Si hay cuatro cosas que mi esposo y yo amamos, es la historia, las joyas, nuestros perros y la ciencia ficción. Esperamos que aprecie nuestro estilo y ayude a apoyar el estilo de vida de alto mantenimiento al que nuestros perros se han acostumbrado.
I was born into a wonderful legacy of art. In Italy, generations worked in the family pottery business. However, he was a brilliant artist and skilled artisan who could create masterpieces out of anything. One of my most cherished belongings is a stunning ring he hand-crafted for my grandmother.
I come by my love of jewelry honestly. I remember my grandmother stacking bracelets on my arms and getting into my mother’s expansive earring collection. Not long after, I started making braided bracelets. In my teenage years, I graduated to making simple wire and beaded jewelry. As my tastes matured, so did my creations.
The name Nefe’s treasures was inspired by our rascally husky corgi mix, Nefertiti. If you look carefully at our logo, you will notice a bust of a dog. That is Nefe. I incorporated a drawing of her silhouette when brainstorming logos. However, our shop is not just an ode to one of our two dogs. Her name is nod to my lifelong fascination with ancient cultures and Dr. Who. If there are four things my husband and I love, it is history, jewelry, our dogs, and sci-fi. We hope you appreciate our style and help support the high maintenance lifestyle to which our dogs have grown accustomed.
