From Engineering to Mediumship
UPDATE:
Another six years have passed since I closed the shop and I’m feeling called back into this space. I’ve been focused on my career and my personal growth in many ways. I’ve been told Hekate calls on you three times throughout your life and if you’re here maybe she’s calling to you too.
BEFORE:
Six years ago I was working on my master's degree in ocean engineering in Hawaii. I was researching passive acoustics in regards to the local whale populations. While living there, my community introduced me to healing crystals. From then on, my interests grew rapidly into more than a hobby, which led to a spiritual awakening. I began taking classes and studying about all things metaphysical. This included energy healing, tarot, work with crystals, meditation, astral traveling, mediumship, among other practices. I have been certified in Reiki and have continued to practice these interests since I began studying in Hawaii. I am now living in NYC and while I am working in the tech industry (3D printing) and running an all-female production center, I still try to infuse all things magical into my work and daily life.
These necklaces were inspired by a project in my tech life working with resin. I found that embedding the crystals in the clear resin magnifies the visual affect of the stones, while also creating the possibility of wearing many smaller stones. I’ve personally found that small stones can often emit intense healing energy and heat although they can be overlooked because of size.
I hope to continue to share with you everything I learn along my spiritual journey and to provide some love and light through my products.
