Comencé a coleccionar vintage con mi abuela cuando solo tenía 13 años. Examinábamos interminablemente las tiendas de segunda mano en busca de las piezas de declaración más antiguas, ruidosas y brillantes que pudiéramos encontrar. Ella siempre estaba alentando mi estilo único y mi deseo de destacar entre la multitud: mi autoexpresión era a través de la ropa.
Después de años y años de coleccionar productos vintage, comencé a gravitar hacia la especialización en denim vintage. Me sorprendió la calidad y el corte de mezclilla en constante cambio a lo largo de las décadas y cómo las piezas más antiguas se empaparon de historia y se hicieron con tanta calidad para durar más que sus propietarios. Decir que fue una fuerte y repentina adicción al denim sería quedarse corto.
Estaba coleccionando ropa vieja en un momento en que la sostenibilidad global se había convertido en una necesidad (la moda era la segunda industria más contaminante a nivel mundial). Mi atención se alejó brevemente de la venta y reparación de prendas vintage y se movió hacia el sueño de trabajar en la industria sin fines de lucro de ingeniería ambiental. A través del trabajo duro y mucha educación, ese sueño se logró. Pero, siempre tuve mi subconsciente tirando de mí hacia mi primer amor y pasión para siempre: la moda vintage reciclada.
Así que, ¡estoy de vuelta y más feliz que nunca! Mi tienda está cuidadosamente seleccionada con una variedad de estilos, tamaños y marcas. Trato de llevar prendas vintage de calidad que van desde piezas básicas minimalistas de uso diario hasta piezas únicas y extravagantes. Me encanta lo vintage, aprecio y valoro a todos y cada uno de los clientes y estoy comprometido a dirigir un negocio honesto y sostenible.
I began collecting vintage with my Grandma when I was only 13 years old. We would endlessly peruse thrift stores looking for the oldest, loudest, brightest statement pieces we could find. She was always encouraging of my unique style and desire to stand out in a crowd - my self expression was through clothing.
After years and years of collecting vintage goods, I began gravitating toward specializing in vintage denim. I was amazed by the ever changing quality and cut of denim over the decades and how the older pieces were soaked in history and made with such quality to outlast their owners. To say it was a strong and sudden denim addiction would be an understatement.
I was collecting old clothing at a time where global sustainability had become such a necessity (fashion being the second most polluting industry globally). My attention was briefly pulled away from selling and repairing vintage garments and moved toward a dream of working in the environmental engineering non-profit industry. Through hard work and a lot of schooling, that dream was attained. But, I always had my subconscious pulling me back toward my first love and forever passion: recycled vintage fashion.
So, I'm back and happier than ever! My shop is carefully curated with a range of styles, sizes and brands. I try to carry quality vintage garments that range from basic minimalist everyday pieces to wildly extravagant one-of-a-kind pieces. I love vintage, I appreciate and value each and every customer and I'm committed to running an honest, sustainable business.
