Our Story - Pollen & Lace
Pollen & Lace no empezó como un negocio. Empezó con una costumbre, una que nunca nos habíamos planteado. Solo dos hermanas, una mesa siempre llena de materiales y manos inquietas que buscaban constantemente algo que crear. Guardábamos trozos de papel sin ningún motivo en particular, escondíamos cintas en cajones, prensábamos flores entre páginas donde las olvidábamos y pasábamos noches tranquilas creando cosas porque siempre nos parecía mejor que decir algo en voz alta.
En aquel entonces, no lo llamábamos inspiración. Era simplemente nuestra forma de vivir.
Una de nosotras se inclinó por la suavidad: detalles delicados, mañanas bañadas por la luz de la acuarela, la serena comodidad de lo que queda a medio terminar. La otra se sintió atraída por un toque de audacia: el contraste, la atmósfera y la belleza de lo que no está del todo terminado. En algún punto de ese espacio intermedio —una mezcla de flor silvestre e hilo, delicadeza e indomabilidad— nació Pollen & Lace.
Creamos nuestros diseños como siempre: con capas, un toque de desorden y mucha emoción. Nuestras piezas parecen haber vivido una vida antes de llegar a ti. Encontrarás una suave nostalgia, un toque de magia sutil y fragmentos de historias que nunca exigieron finales perfectos.
Sinceramente, la inspiración viene de todas partes. De todos los lugares que hemos visitado, de todas las cosas que hemos conservado: libros antiguos, estaciones fugaces, esos pensamientos nocturnos, la luz del sol que se filtra en una habitación silenciosa. Siempre se ha tratado de las pequeñas cosas.
Pollen & Lace es nuestra manera de reunir todos esos fragmentos y dejarlos ir, con la esperanza de que te encuentren y tal vez también se conviertan en parte de tu historia.
Esta tienda no se trata de cosas perfectas. Se trata de cosas que importan.
En algún momento, simplemente se convirtió en nuestro.
Pollen & Lace didn’t start out as a business. It started with a habit—one we never really thought about. Just two sisters, a table always overflowing, and restless hands constantly reaching for something to make. We saved scraps of paper for no real reason, tucked ribbons into drawers, pressed flowers between pages where we’d forget them, and spent quiet nights making things because it always felt better than saying anything out loud.
Back then, we didn’t call it inspiration. It was just the way we moved through life.
One of us leaned into softness—gentle details, mornings washed in watercolor light, the calm comfort of things left half-finished. The other was drawn to a touch of edge—contrast and mood and beauty in the not-quite-done. Somewhere in that space between—equal parts wildflower and thread, gentle and untamed—Pollen & Lace came to life.
We build our designs like we always have—layered, a little messy, and with plenty of feeling. Our pieces feel like they’ve already lived a life before they find their way to you. You’ll find soft nostalgia, a bit of quiet magic, and scraps of stories that never demanded neat endings.
Honestly, inspiration comes from all over. From all the places we’ve been, all the things we’ve kept—old books, fleeting seasons, those late-night thoughts, sunlight cutting through a still room. It’s always been about the small things.
Pollen & Lace is our way of gathering all those bits and letting them go, hoping they’ll find you—and maybe become part of your story, too.
This shop isn’t about perfect things. It’s about things that matter.
Somewhere along the way, it simply became ours.
