Adding a lil' Posh to every gift we create!
Heya Everyone! Welcome to the place where I share a little about myself and my shop!
I'm a 'disabled' mama of 4, ages 20 to 3.5. I have always had a creative bug, but took the semi 'traditional' road and earned an accounting degree in 2005.
Fast forward 6 years and I got really sick one afternoon, and the resulting condition left me unable to work.
I tried 101 different ways to make ends meet for my growing family, but each thing I tried left me burnt out, deflated and feeling unfulfilled.
In 2016, while pregnant with my youngest, I was gifted a cutting machine for my birthday!
Posh Notions as we know it was born a few months later. I mostly focused on custom business and logo gear, birthday gifts, and my own line of apparel for adults and kiddos.
When Covid hit the USA in March 2020, I pivoted once again.
On April 8th 2020, after being asked to make custom masks for 3 people in two days, I got this crazy idea that I was going to learn to sew!
I had a broken 60 year old vintage sewing machine, a bin of t shirts, and 0, yes 0 sewing skills!
I knew I had to do what I could to help get masks to those in need!
10 days later, after many late nights and google searches, I opened my Etsy shop!
I have been making and donating masks to those who are high-risk like myself.
Your purchases help me help others!
I am expanding my skills and can't wait for you to see all the new things I'm learning to make!
My love of vintage fabric and up-cycling is growing by the day!
I have met so many amazing, generous and helpful people these last few months, and I love having convos with my customers when they reach out!
Thanks for learning a bit about my journey, please message me if there's anything else you'd like to know!
