Uno de mis primeros recuerdos fue ver a mi madre sentada en su máquina de coser negra Singer haciendo vestidos de Pascua para mis dos hermanas y para mí. Recuerdo que la mía tenía un corpiño blanco y una falda verde espuma de mar.
Su madre era modista, y pasar tiempo en la sala de costura de Nana siempre fue una aventura.
He llevado adelante el amor por la costura en mi familia, y he estado cosiendo durante más de 40 años.
Valoro la belleza y la singularidad de los productos hechos a mano y hechos a medida que no puedes encontrar en ningún otro lugar.
Me encanta el trabajo manual, ya sean cortinas de costura a mano para que las costuras no se vean, acolchar a mano por el puro placer de hacer puntadas pequeñas y uniformes, o hacer ropa hermosa que no puedo encontrar en ningún otro lugar, y que me quede bien.
A medida que han pasado los años, he llegado a comprender cuánta alegría sentían mi madre y Nana mientras cosían para otros.

One of my earliest memories was seeing my mother sitting at her black Singer sewing machine making Easter dresses for my two sisters, and me. I remember mine had a white bodice and sea foam green skirt.
Her mother was a dressmaker, and spending time in Nana’s sewing room was always an adventure.
I have carried forward the love of sewing in my family, and have been sewing for over 40 years.
I value the beauty and uniqueness of handmade, custom-made products that you can’t find anywhere else.
I love the handwork, whether it be hand-sewing draperies so the seams don’t show, quilting by hand for the sheer pleasure of making tiny, even stitches, or making beautiful clothes that I can't find anywhere else, and that fit me just right.
As the years have passed, I have come to understand how much joy my mother and Nana felt while sewing for others.
