Algumas das minhas melhores lembranças são da cozinha da minha avó, quando ela estava cozinhando e cozinhando, oh as cores das Tigelas de Mistura Pyrex, os cheiros vindos do forno, e finalmente a comida. Ela costumava me deixar sentar e assistir, e se eu fosse bom ela me recompensaria com os batedores da batedeira, ou um biscoito, ou uma fatia de pão fresco.
A vida era muito mais simples, mas ainda assim mais difícil. Nenhum bolo ou brownies realmente bons veio de uma caixa, tudo foi feito com amor e tempo e muito trabalho. As ferramentas premiadas da minha avó a ajudaram a criar as maravilhosas refeições que todos comeríamos. Wether foram os Pratos Pyrex Casserole, ou o que sobrou armazenado nas Caixas de Geladeira Pyrex, estes todos invocam grandes pensamentos para mim. Minha avó era uma das pessoas mais influentes da minha vida, e toda vez que vejo, toquei, uso, e agora vendo Pyrex, não posso deixar de pensar, também nos bons velhos tempos.
Por favor, esteja ciente, tudo o que vendo é Vintage e pré-propriedade, a maioria tem sido usada por mais de 35 anos um pouco ainda mais. Eu preço na condição e a raridade da peça ou cor, ou padrão. Nenhuma das melhores peças é sempre impecável, mesmo vindo da fábrica estes foram produzidos em massa e feitos nos EUA para durar, mas eu sinceramente duvido que alguém jamais teria pensado que eles se tornariam colecionáveis. Eles foram obrigados a suportar como os valores que exceíamos em produtos exigiam, mas novamente produzidos em massa. Por favor, tenha isso em mente.
Some of my best memories are of my Grandmother's kitchen, when she was baking and cooking, oh the colors of the Pyrex Mixing Bowls, the smells coming from the oven, and finally the food. She used to let me sit and watch, and if I was good she would reward me with the beaters from the mixer, or a cookie, or a slice of fresh bread.
Life was a lot simpler but yet harder. No really good cake or brownies came from a box, everything was done with love and time and lots of work. My Grandmother's prized tools helped her create the wonderful meals we would all eat. Wether it was the Pyrex Casserole Dishes, or the left over's stored in the Pyrex Refrigerator Boxes, these all invoke great thoughts for me. My Grandmother was one of the most influential people in my life, and every time I see, touch, use, and now sell Pyrex I can't help but think back, too the good old days.
Please be aware, everything I sell is Vintage and pre owned, most has been used for upwards of 35 years some even more. I price on condition and the rarity of the piece or color, or pattern. None even the best piece is ever flawless, even coming from the factory these were mass produced and made in the USA to last, but I sincerely doubt anyone would ever have thought they would become collectible. They were made to endure as the values we excepted in products demanded it, but again mass produced. Please keep that in mind.
