How Ragiddy started
I wanted to make the world a better place. I think we all do. There is a lot of waste, a lot of clothes, fabrics, yarn and other useful things being thrown away and ending up in landfills or burned. I collect these things from family and friends, from random strangers and their late aunts and grandmas who left behind a treasure hoard (in my eyes, to them it is junk).
I wanted to start this a long time ago. This is no time or place to talk about all the obstacles and excuses that kept me from it. Ragiddy is finally here. I wanted the name to be something fun. Being giddy about every rag and yarn I get, I combined those words into a name.
Some of the things I made have been sitting on a shelf for a while. It will take some time to see what you all like and want so that I can make more of that sort of thing. I truly hope to develop this into work I can live from. I am a single mum and like any mum I want to spend as much time with my daughter. Working from home will make our lives better, especially now when there are fewer job opportunities and I haven't found anything else to begin with.
