Harry ha iniziato la linea di gioielli Retro-Rockets nel 2006, ispirata all'X-Prize e all'XCHALLENGE, nonché alla Rocket Racing League. Ora presidente di un'azienda produttrice di gioielli, Ruidoso Metalworks, Harry è cresciuto con la fantascienza dell'età dell'oro e ammirando i veri scienziati missilistici che conosceva crescendo a Las Cruces, NM; guardando la corsa allo spazio in prima persona e l'eccitazione e l'orgoglio che ha portato. Voleva vendere i suoi Retro-Rocket agli eventi X-Prize e Rocket Racing League; che non è avvenuto.
Sono entrato a far parte del team di Harry alla Ruidoso Metalworks nel 2013, essendo cresciuto con la fantascienza moderna e modellando razzi e miniature. Sono venuto a lavorare come parte del team di riproduzione dei gioielli, ma ho trovato rapidamente un interesse comune con Harry sul nostro amore per lo spazio. La linea Retro-Rockets era stata messa nel dimenticatoio e, vedendo il rinnovato interesse per l'esplorazione dello spazio privato, l'ho esortato a lasciarmi provare a dargli nuova vita.
Ora stiamo utilizzando alcune delle più moderne tecniche di prototipazione e produzione di gioielli, tra cui la modellazione e la stampa 3D, per creare nuovi ed entusiasmanti design di gioielli; pur continuando a onorare le nostre ispirazioni. Mentre la NASA ha fatto passi da gigante una generazione fa, anticipiamo con impazienza anche i piccoli passi che porterà la nuova generazione di esplorazione spaziale. Realizzare questi pezzi realistici di fantascienza indossabile e spazio per altri appassionati di spazio grandi e piccini è proprio quello che amiamo fare!

Harry started the Retro-Rockets Jewelry line in 2006, inspired by the X-Prize and XCHALLENGE as well as the Rocket Racing League. Now President of a jewelry manufacturing company, Ruidoso Metalworks, Harry grew up on Golden Age Science Fiction, and looking up to the actual rocket scientists he knew growing up in Las Cruces, NM; watching the Space Race first hand and the excitement and pride it brought. Knowing that the public's attention would once again turn to space, Harry started designing. He wanted jewelry that recalled the glory, triumph, and ingenuity of space exploration both real and imaginary. He intended to sell his Retro-Rockets at X-Prize and Rocket Racing League events; that did not come to pass.
I joined Harry's team at Ruidoso Metalworks in 2013, having grown up with Modern Science Fiction and model rockets and miniatures. I came to work as part of the jewelry reproduction team, but quickly found a common interest with Harry over our love of space. The Retro-Rockets line had been put on the back burner, and seeing the renewed interest in private space exploration I urged him to let me try to bring new life to it.
We are now using some of the most modern jewelry prototyping and production techniques, including 3D modeling and printing, to create new and exciting jewelry designs; while continuing to honor our inspirations. As NASA made giant leaps a generation ago we eagerly anticipate even the small steps the new generation of space exploration will bring. Making these realistic pieces of wearable science fiction and space for other space enthusiasts young and old is just what we love doing!
