Happy embroidery hoop art
I first used hoops when I was 10 years old, to help keep fabric taut while I learned to embroider. Now hoops are considered the perfect way to frame textile art for you to display in your home!
The #AussieHoopSwap on Instagram in early 2015 reignited my passion for this style of sewing. My embroidery was featured in the May 2015 issue of Make Modern e-magazine, which gave me the confidence to pursue this new direction in my Etsy shop.
Most of my embroidery hoop art features hand embroidered text on printed quilt fabrics. My embroidery is guided by the designer fabrics I choose for my projects. Many of the fabrics in my collection reflect my love of nature and animals.
I live in Perth, Western Australia with my husband and our daughters, Ruby and Eva. I work part-time as an environmental planner, specialising in urban biodiversity conservation.
I love to sew to help me be less mind-full and more 'mindful'. I would be delighted to create some embroidery hoop art for you to enjoy xx
