¡Hola! Soy Emily, una madre creativa y amante de las manualidades, de los hermosos suburbios de Bristol.
He sido artesana toda mi vida, pero nunca he encontrado mi nicho... repostería, manualidades con papel, ilustración, decoupage... lo he probado todo. Durante el confinamiento, como muchos de ustedes, recurrí a las manualidades para desestresarme después de un día ajetreado trabajando a tiempo completo en una editorial y educando en casa, de forma intermitente, a mi encantadora pero reticente hija de 5 años, Hazel.
Cuando mi hermana tuvo un bebé durante el confinamiento, compré un sencillo kit de punto de cruz por internet. Tardé unas 7 semanas (!!) en terminarlo, pero me encantó. Después de que me regalaran un par de kits más, decidí probar suerte en el diseño.
No soy Picasso, así que lo he mantenido todo simple y elegante, pensando en las artesanas principiantes. Mi primera colección, «Girls Girls Girls», se inspiró en la solidaridad femenina que he presenciado tantas veces durante el confinamiento. ¡Las mujeres somos muy fuertes!
Los diseños personalizados llegaron poco después y ha sido un placer trabajar en ellos. Ver todos sus maravillosos nombres y recibir un pedido para un bebé recién nacido es un gran logro y me hace sentir como si estuviera diseñando algo que permanecerá en la familia durante años, una hermosa reliquia o recuerdo hecho a mano para un pequeñín muy especial.

Hello! I'm Emily - a creative thinking, craft-loving, mum of two from the beautiful suburbs of Bristol.
I have been a crafter all my life but I've never really found my niche... baking, papercraft, illustration, decoupage, I've tried it all. During lockdown, like many of you, I found myself turning to craft as a means of de-stressing after a busy day of working a full time job in publishing and on-and-off home-schooling my delightful but reluctant 5-year old daughter, Hazel.
When my sister had a baby boy during lockdown, I bought a simple cross stitch kit online. It took me about 7 weeks (!!) to complete but I loved it. After being gifted a couple more kits, I decided to try my hand at design work.
I'm no Picasso so I've kept everything nice & simple, with absolute beginner level crafters in mind. My first collection 'Girls Girls Girls' was inspired by the female solidarity that I have witnessed so many times during lockdown - us women are made of strong stuff!!
The personalised designs came along shortly afterwards and they have been a joy to work on. Seeing all of your wonderful names and getting an order for a brand new baby is a huge highlight and makes me feel like I'm designing something that will stay in the family for years, a beautiful handmade heirloom or keepsake for an extra special little one.
