¡SOMOS NIÑOS DE CORAZÓN EN NUESTRA EMPRESA LLAMADA SEGMATION!
Es por eso que comenzamos Segmation™ a principios de la década de 1990. Era una forma de modernizar el clásico infantil de pintar por números.
Originalmente comercializado como un producto shareware independiente (PhotoPat de Rainbow Scan), la tecnología de patrones de colores y números que desarrollamos originalmente era muy tosca.

Pero bueno, tuvimos nuestro primer producto real, así que todo estuvo bien, ¿verdad? Y con nuestro primer éxito a nuestras espaldas, inmediatamente comenzamos a trabajar en más características para refinar y mejorar el producto.

¡LUEGO LLEGÓ 1998!
Con muchos comentarios de los usuarios y apoyo disponible, finalmente nos sentimos listos para el horario de máxima audiencia. La segmentación, con un montón de nuevas formas de usar el algoritmo básico, los formatos de la industria, las paletas y los patrones, se introdujo en un mundo desprevenido.

Segmation era un complemento de Photoshop comercializado para nosotros por Xaos Tools, y permitió que legiones de artistas gráficos descubrieran la simplicidad y la belleza ocultas en sus imágenes.

Cuando se suma a la maravillosa capacidad de diseñar con patrones de teselado de siglos de antigüedad, ¡Segmation™ fue aclamado como un GRAN éxito!

POCO DESPUÉS DE…
En el espíritu del Internet gratuito, creamos una divertida actividad en línea llamada SegPlay que permitía a cualquier persona con un navegador de Internet colorear un patrón de nuestra creciente colección. Ofrecía una navegación panorámica y zoom casi infinita, y pronto se convirtió en un subprograma de Java muy popular más allá de nuestros sueños como un destino para que los visitantes obtengan su dosis diaria de pintura.

SIMPLEMENTE SIETE AÑOS DESPUÉS…
Armamos SegPlay® PC, un programa computarizado de pintar por números para computadoras de escritorio con Windows. Nuestra empresa estaba creciendo y ahora ofrecíamos 20 imágenes y una gran cantidad de potentes funciones adecuadas tanto para los aficionados al arte como para los jugadores casuales. Mes tras mes, año tras año, creamos maravillosos conjuntos de patrones atractivos para agregar a nuestra increíble colección.

De repente, descubrimos que la industria recurrió a nosotros para liderar el camino con un nuevo pasatiempo informático que ni siquiera podría haberse imaginado hace 50 años.

¡PERO ESPERA HAY MAS!
El éxito engendra éxito y la pequeña empresa que pudo no fue la excepción a esa regla.

Cada nueva versión de SegPlay que introdujimos fue mejor que nuestros esfuerzos anteriores, y nuestro equipo de desarrollo saltó grandes cosas, que incluyen:

Conjuntos de patrones que organizaron nuestros patrones de SegPlayPC en una miniselección de un artista o tema determinado. (iniciado en 2006)
Una aplicación SegPlay para dispositivos móviles basados en Windows Phone (2007)
SegPlay Mobile, una aplicación para iPhone y iPad (2010)
SegPlay Mobile, una aplicación para dispositivos Android (2011)
Otro conjunto de patrones para nuestros productos SegPlay Mobile que tienen 6 patrones temáticos en conjunto (iniciados en 2012)

Con más de 6500 imágenes digitales en más de 320 conjuntos disponibles por solo centavos cada uno. Segmation LLC con su Segmation Technology sigue siendo una empresa enérgica con un equipo de liderazgo talentoso que permanece enfocado en convertir la investigación científica original en procesamiento de imágenes en productos divertidos y creativos.

WE’RE JUST KIDS AT HEART AT OUR COMPANY CALLED SEGMATION!
That’s why we first started Segmation™ in the early 1990s. It was a way of modernizing the childhood classic of painting by numbers.
Originally marketed as a stand-alone shareware product (PhotoPat by Rainbow Scan), the color and number pattern technology we originally developed was very rough.

But hey – we had our first real product out there, so it was all good, right? And with our first success under our belts, we immediately started working on more features to refine and improve the product.

THEN CAME 1998!
With lots of user feedback and support in hand, we finally felt ready for prime time. Segmation, with a bunch of new ways to use the basic algorithm, industry formats, palettes, and patterns, was introduced to an unsuspecting world.

Segmation was a Photoshop Plug-in marketed for us by Xaos Tools, and it let us enable legions of graphic artists to discover the simplicity and beauty hidden in their images.

When added to the wonderful ability to design with centuries-old tessellation patterns, Segmation™ was acclaimed a HUGE success!

SHORTLY AFTER…
In the spirit of the free internet, we pulled together a fun online activity called SegPlay which allowed anyone with an internet browser to color a pattern from our growing collection. It offered near infinite pan and zoom navigation, and soon it became a wildly popular Java Applet beyond our dreams as a destination for visitors to get their daily painting fix.

A MERE SEVEN YEARS LATER…
We’d put together SegPlay® PC – a computerized paint-by-numbers program for Windows desktop computers. Our company was growing up, and we now offered 20 images and a host of powerful features suitable for both artsy types and casual gamers. Month after month, year after year, we created wonderful sets of engaging patterns to add to our awesome collection.

Suddenly we found the industry turning to us to lead the way with a new computing hobby that couldn’t have even been imagined 50 years ago.

BUT WAIT…THERE’S MORE!
Success begets success and the little company that could was no exception to that rule.

Each new SegPlay version we introduced was better than our previous efforts, and great things leaped from our development team, including:

A constant Twitter feed which spews out fun and unique thoughts on art (started in 2012)

SO HERE WE ARE TODAY…
With over 6500 digital images in over 320 sets available for just pennies apiece. Segmation LLC with its Segmation Technology remains an energetic company with a talented leadership team who remain focused on bringing original scientific image-processing research into fun and creative products.

As you’d expect, the company continues promoting its fascinating artistic techniques with new generations of software and future creative craft offerings. We’ve also become universally recognized as the leader in digital paint-by-numbers applications.

Segmation’s color palettes have helped turn our simple idea into the perfect application for anyone with an interest in art, education, gaming, puzzles, cognitive issues, or just keeping your mind sharp.
