Short Stop Designs
I majored in Communications back in college, and part of the curriculum was to take a Visual Media class where we learned the basics and beginnings of graphic design. As I was finishing up my degree, I did an internship at the Ruth Bancroft Garden in the Bay Area, California and helped set up a children's event during the summer and began making flyers, graphics, etc for the event. I had so much fun with the design part of it and wanted to keep up and develop my graphic designs skills.
Since the event, I kept working on those skills and started my blog Short Stop Designs a couple years later. On my blog I share everything from printables for every occasion, home decor, and parties I have thrown for my kids or friends. I always made an invitation for the parties I threw and loved making them, and so the shop was born!
When the shop first opened, I was selling invitations and some party decorations. Things got a bit crazy with work and kids being involved with sports every night of the week and I had to take a step back.
I'm slowly getting back to designing and loving it! Our kids keep us busy, but I try to find moments through out the week to myself and whipping up new designs. It's something I've missed and I'm happy to be back!
