Si bien siempre me han gustado las artes y las manualidades, no comencé a hacer muñecas y animales hasta que nacieron mis hijas hace más de veinte años. Quería que tuvieran muñecas y juguetes lindos, hechos a mano y seguros para jugar, así que también comencé a jugar con materiales naturales como fieltros y lana. Cuando mis hijas comenzaron el preescolar en una escuela Waldorf, muchos de los otros niños y padres me pidieron que les hiciera muñecas similares, así que me animaron a hacer más y compartir mi arte. Desde entonces, he seguido haciendo juguetes y decoraciones para mis hijas a mano y también he aprendido cerámica, carpintería y corte de papel.
Mi arte siempre ha consistido en hacer cosas hermosas para mi familia y amigos, y en el camino he tenido la oportunidad de compartir mi arte en exposiciones de artesanía y tiendas de arte en mi ciudad. While I have always loved arts and crafts, I didn’t start making dolls and animals until my daughters were born over twenty years ago. I wanted them to have cute, handmade, and safe dolls and toys to play with so I also started playing with natural materials like felts and wool. When my daughters started preschool at a Waldorf school, many of the other children and parents asked me to make them similar dolls so I was encouraged to make more and share my art. Since then, I have continued to make toys and decorations for my daughters by hand and have also learned pottery, woodworking, and paper cutting.
My art has always been about making beautiful things for my family and friends, and along the way I have had the chance to share my art at craft shows and art shops in my town. With encouragement from my daughters, I have just recently opened an Etsy shop for the first time. Thanks for stopping by!
