Ciao - Sono Spiro Rokanas
Durante i miei studi in argenteria e design di gioielli diversi anni fa, mia madre mi ha insegnato l'arte della ceramica fino a quando ho scoperto che il mio amore per la ceramica poteva essere combinato con i gioielli.
Dal 2007 ho il mio laboratorio di ceramica dove espongo e vendo le mie creazioni.
Argilla bianca o nera con smalto o texture naturali, incastonate nelle mie ceramiche che vanno oltre le forme "classiche" e i modi standard di costruzione. Figurativa o astratta ma sempre minimale le Ceramiche Spiro riflettono la mia evoluzione dell'arte ceramica.
Le mie ceramiche sono esclusivamente fatte a mano, non stampi o altri mezzi meccanici, realizzate con argilla gres della migliore qualità e bruciate a 1240 gradi Celsius garantiscono la durata.
La mia più grande ispirazione sono stati e rimangono i colori della natura, del mare e del cielo. Soprattutto qui a Creta (Grecia) ogni stagione ha colori meravigliosi!
Una delle cose che preferisco dell'arte ceramica è che una volta che il pezzo è cotto, la ceramica non cambia mai lo smalto.

Hey - I'm Spiro Rokanas
During my studies in silversmithing and jewelry design several years ago, my mother taught me the art of ceramics until I discovered that my love of the ceramic could be combined with jewels.
Since 2007 I have my own ceramic workshop where I display and sell my creations.
White or black clay with enamel or natural textures, embedded in my ceramics that go beyond the "classical" forms and standard ways of construction. Figurative or abstract but always minimal the Spiro Ceramics reflect my evolution of the art of ceramic art.
My ceramics are exclusively hand-made , not molds or other mechanical means,made of the finest quality stoneware clay and burned at 1240 degrees Celsius ensure durability.
My biggest inspiration was and remains the colors of nature, sea and sky.Especially here in Crete(Greece) each season has wonderful colors!
One of my favorite things about ceramic art is that once the piece fired, the ceramic does not change the glaze never off.
