Stonanka Jewelry
Designer of macrame jewelry for many years, the Stonanka brand was born in 2017. I wanted to bring my dreams to life and finally offer you jewelry that allows you to express yourself, that truly suits you, that is different from what you're used to finding elsewhere, and, above all, that is unique!
I've always been drawn to anything that can be handmade, the connection with the material. I create my jewelry in my small workshop in the south of France. Passionate about my work, I can spend several hours, several days, or even several weeks on a creation. All are made with solid, high-quality materials, and the natural stones are carefully selected to offer you high-quality, long-lasting jewelry.

The history of macramé dates back thousands of years, with origins deeply rooted in Egyptian and Babylonian civilizations. The term "macramé," derived from the Arabic "migramah," means "fringe" or "ornament." Originally, it was used to create decorative fringes on camels and horses, a practice that highlights its importance in nomadic cultures and its beginnings as a functional art.
Today, it has become extremely popular and has multiple uses, both decorative and functional. It offers endless possibilities and has become a staple of contemporary decor.
Macramé is a technique that involves tying a series of knots to create a weave. By playing with colors and the way they are linked together, it is possible to create different shapes and patterns.
A pagan belief consists of tying knots as an amulet, also called "Nauzami."
Each knot of the talisman is imprinted with an intention.
This belief is also found among Buddhists with the "Tibetan knot," considered the knot of happiness, or the Celtic knot of love. This is what I love about this art, almost a meditation, in which positive energies are deposited.
