Hago mis joyas e imanes en casa en la mesa de mi cocina. He probado otros lugares, pero siempre vuelvo al centro de nuestra casa. Etsy es mi conexión con el mundo exterior, para comprar y vender, y para aprender y conectarme con otros artesanos.
Me gusta mezclar materiales; piedras y cuentas de cuerno, botones de metal y vidrio, madera, concha, etc. El elemento más importante para mí es el color. Solía pintar con acuarelas, y aunque las cuentas tienen bordes duros, aún puedes hacer maravillosas combinaciones de colores complejas. La segunda cosa más importante es la textura. Me gusta mezclarlo. No lo hago suave e incluso muy a menudo, pero si lo hago, es deliberado.
Colecciono botones y encuentro que los que todavía están en sus cartas son los más bonitos, al menos del siglo pasado. Estoy listando algunos de ellos a la venta, especialmente si tengo varias tarjetas de un diseño. Algunos son adecuados para proyectos de costura, todos serían maravillosos en joyería y artesanías.
I make my jewelry and magnets at home on my kitchen table. I've tried other spots but always come back to the center of our home. Etsy is my connection to the outside world, to buy and sell, and to learn and connect with other craftspeople.
I like to mix materials; stones and horn beads, metal buttons and glass, wood, shell etc. The most important element to me is color. I used to paint with watercolors, and though beads have hard edges, you can still make wonderful complex color combinations. The second most important thing is texture. I like to mix it up. I don't do smooth and even very often, but if I do, it's deliberate.
I collect buttons and find that the ones still on their cards are the nicest, at least from the last century. I'm listing a few of them for sale, especially if I have several cards of one design. Some are suitable for sewing projects, all would be wonderful in jewelry and crafts.
