¡Hola! Soy Susan O'Bryant, propietaria y diseñadora de Sweet Wing Studio. Estoy felizmente casada con mi amor, Jeff, y soy mamá gata de nuestro dulce bebé Boo. Vivimos en el noroeste de Georgia, uno de los estados de la hermosa América.
De pequeña, en los 80, la principal afición de mi madre era el punto de cruz. Hacía muchas piezas para nuestra casa (¡y para mí!) y para regalar a familiares y amigos. Naturalmente, me interesaba y hacía algunas cosas fáciles yo misma (¡como un imán de nevera tan gracioso que aún conservo!). Afortunadamente, heredé su amor por la creatividad y he incursionado en todo tipo de manualidades a lo largo de mi vida: crochet, manualidades con papel y pintura, por nombrar solo algunas.
Hace un par de años, una de mis blogueras de crochet favoritas hablaba de cómo había descubierto los maravillosos diseños de Satsuma Street, y me hizo pensar en qué más podría haber de nuevo en el mundo del punto de cruz. Así que revisé YouTube, encontré KittenStitcher y, felizmente, me sumergí en el mundo del punto de cruz en el siglo XXI. No podía creer la cantidad de patrones preciosos e hilos preciosos que hay disponibles ahora. En mi búsqueda de algunos de esos artículos, durante un viaje pasé por Keepsakes (¿Has estado alguna vez? Es increíble), y fue entonces cuando supe con certeza que quería hacer algo más que bordar por diversión. Le dije a Barbara (la fabulosa dueña) que mi visita me había cambiado la vida, y probablemente pensó que estaba loca, ¡pero iba en serio!
Adelantándome un poco, aquí estoy creando diseños de punto de cruz y, con suerte, desarrollando mi propio estilo. Mi fe en el Señor Jesucristo es lo más importante de mi vida y quiero compartir sus muchas bendiciones a través de mis diseños. Me maravillan sus creaciones, la belleza natural de este mundo, y rezo para que mi trabajo refleje su amor y su luz.

Hello there! I'm Susan O'Bryant, the owner and designer here at Sweet Wing Studio. I'm happily married to my darling love, Jeff, and I'm a cat mom to our sweet baby Boo. We live in the northwest corner of Georgia, one of the states of America the Beautiful.
When I was little, in the 1980s, my Mom's main hobby was cross stitching. She made many pieces for our home (and for me!) and to give as gifts for family and friends. Naturally, I was interested and made some easy things myself (like a silly fridge magnet which I still have today!). I thankfully inherited her love for creativity and I've dabbled in all sorts of arts and crafts all my life. Crochet, paper crafts, and painting, to name a few.
A couple of years ago, one of my favorite crochet bloggers was talking about how she found the wonderful designs of Satsuma Street, and it got me wondering what else might be new in the ol' world of cross stitch. So I checked YouTube, found KittenStitcher, and I happily fell down the rabbit hole of cross stitching in the 21st century. I couldn't believe all the beautiful patterns and gorgeous threads that are available now. In my quest to obtain some of those items, while on a trip I stopped by Keepsakes (Have you ever been there? It's amazing), and that's when I knew for certain that I wanted to do more than just stitch for fun. I told Barbara (the fabulous owner) that my visit was life-changing, and she probably thought I was a whacko, but I was serious!
Fast forward a bit, and here I am creating cross stitch designs and hopefully developing my own kind of style. My faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the most important part of my life and I want to share His many blessings through my designs. I'm awe-inspired by His creations, the natural beauty of this world, and it is my prayer that my work will reflect His love and light.
