Frequently asked questions
How do I download my files?
Right after payment, Etsy emails you a download link. You can also go to Account › Purchases and reviews on Etsy.com (a web browser, not the app) and select Download Files. Each spreadsheet comes as an Excel (.xlsx) file, with a sample-data version and a blank version.
Does it work in Google Sheets?
Yes. Upload the .xlsx file to Google Drive, then right-click › Open with › Google Sheets (or File › Save as Google Sheets). Each template is tested in Excel-compatible software and in Google Sheets before it's listed. Apple Numbers isn't tested, so I don't promise it works there.
Do I need Microsoft Excel?
No. A free Google account works. If you use Excel, version 2010 or later is fine.
Is anything posted to me?
No. Everything in our shop is a digital download, so nothing is shipped. Your files are ready straight after purchase under Purchases and reviews on Etsy.
Can I edit the template?
Yes. Fill in the coloured input cells. The formulas are left unlocked (no passwords), so you can change labels, categories and colours. Keep a copy of the original in case you want to start again.
Do you offer refunds?
Because files are delivered instantly, I don't offer change-of-mind refunds. If a file is faulty, doesn't match the description, or I can't fix a problem you're having, I'll fix it, replace it or refund you. This doesn't limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law or your local consumer law.
Are the tax templates tax advice?
No. They're record-keeping tools built on the published ATO rules for the year shown in the listing. Check ato.gov.au or a registered tax agent before you lodge.
