Das kreative Kind wuchs zu einem fähigen Erwachsenen heran, begeistert von der versprochenen potenziellen DIY-Anpassung. ALLES, wovon ich träumen konnte! Es gibt eine gewisse Befriedigung, die entsteht, wenn man etwas auf eine ganz bestimmte Weise schön machen will und die Fähigkeit besitzt, es dann so zu machen. Für mich war es nie eine Frage von "Kann ich?", sondern eher die Überzeugung von "Ich kann, muss nur herausfinden, wie".
Meine Liebe zum Handwerk hat viele Wendungen genommen und mich bei der Buchbinderei gelandet. Die traditionelle Fallbindung ist der Ort, an dem ich angefangen habe, damals, als das Internet noch ein Baby war und Tutorials schwer zu bekommen waren. Nach einigen Jahren verzweigte ich mich, versuchte eine lange Stichbindung, und ich lernte schnell ihre Einfachheit zu schätzen.
Heute bin ich tagsüber Polsterer und nachts Buchschmied. Die schwereren Fetzen von Bezugsstoffen, die aus dem Laden übrig geblieben sind, eignen sich perfekt zum Binden!

There is a certain satisfaction that comes from wanting to make something beautiful in a very specific way, and possessing the skill to then make it so. For me it has never been a question of "Can I?", but rather the conviction of "I can, just have to figure out how."
My love of crafts has taken many twists and turns, landing me at bookbinding. Traditional case binding is where I got my start, back when the internet was still a baby, and tutorials were hard to come by. After some years, I branched out, trying long stitch binding, and I quickly grew to appreciate its simplicity.
Today I am an Upholsterer by day, and a Booksmith by night. The heavier-weight scraps of upholstery fabric left over from the shop are perfect for binding!
