Whole-animal philosophy. Supporting local farms.
Landmade Co. is a small, mother-owned studio rooted in the agricultural communities of southeastern Tennessee.
Our work is guided by three principles: clean ingredients, a whole-animal philosophy, and support for small, local farms. By creating a use for hides, tallow, and other agricultural byproducts, we can keep more natural materials out of the waste stream, preserve their value, and honor more of each animal.
Our leather comes from local farms and is naturally tanned by our local tannery partner using ingredients from the land. Instead of heavy metals, plastics, or “forever chemicals,” the process relies on traditional materials such as bark and leaves. Each hide is finite, and its natural markings remain part of the finished leather.
Back in my home studio, I turn that leather into small-batch earrings, hair bows, and other goods designed to be worn, used, and kept. Our tallow products give another overlooked material a useful second life through simple recipes and thoughtfully chosen ingredients.
Landmade Co. exists to help build a closer connection between the farms that raise our food, the materials those animals provide, and the goods we bring into our homes. Everything begins with what the land provides and with the belief that more of it deserves to be valued.
